Having the most amount of players on the England NT isn't that good to be honest. If they fail miserably, our players will get scrutinized by the media the most.

Because Hodgson is more racist than John Terry...?

I mean, I love Kelly and think he's a future starter at the club.. But, seriously? He's not better that Micah Richards (yet), and he doesn't have the experience of playing both CB and RB in the previous season. Richards was the obvious choice.

I think I may have seen something about Richards pulling himself out of the standby squad after being snubbed for the full call-up. I don't have a source, though.

RUMOURS are that Richards didn't want to be a back-up and be apart of the squad by staying on the stand-by list. Roy didn't like his attitude so decided to go with Kelly. That makes sense. Richards is far superior to Kelly and should have been in the squad though.

Regardless, good luck to Kelly and hopefully he can have a successful campaign. Very Happy

(Most likely not feature but this will still do him a world of good.)

I really hope Suso proves to be the real deal. The same about Sterling. Would feel great to get a first team regular who has emerged from our academy.

Even better that Gerrard, Carroll and Hendo all played well for the international team. It can only help their confidence.

Here's hoping Suarez comes back from the Olympics no worse for the wear.

Well International Friendlies this wednesday.

Agger and Skrtel have both been called up by their respective NT and have both gone to Denmark since their facing each other. I'm going to be praying that they both take it easy and avoid any injuries or exhaustion because WBA game is only 3 days after that.

Uruguay is facing France and Coates has been called up for the game in Le Havre. Suarez has remained in Liverpool for playing extensively for them in Olympics.

For England vs Italy friendly, only Andy Carroll has been called up. Great for him since he hasn't featured regularly in our EL and preseason games. And great to have Borini, Gerrard, Johnson and Downing remain in Liverpool. I kind of wish Kelly and Hendo were called up since they aren't sure starters for WBA game.

Sadly new signing Allen has gone to Wales to join his NT for friendly vs Bosnia. Let's hope he takes it easy as well and doesn't get injured.

Charlie Adam has also been called up by Scotland, thankfully cheers . This will be good for him since he isn't a sure starter for WBA.

Worst news of all is Pepe Reina getting called up by Spain for the game vs Puerto Rico in Puerto Rico. He might not even play but still has to travel all that distance and will be very tired upon his return. Small chance of seeing Jones/Doni vs WBA.

7 players called up Mad

Why did Fifa schedule international friendlies 3 days before the start of the Premier League season? Seriously... Who benefits?

They did the same last season. It's incredibly idiotic but that's probably why we shouldn't be surprised FIFA have done it.

Carroll has had just a handful of touches against Italy, first half nearly over. England haven't got much ideas as to how to create chances.
