Real soceidad vs Real madrid

Very tricky fixture there at Anoeta,not only La real are good at home but also their defense is pretty good,even stopped barca in the beginning.We are playing 3rd game in just 7 days means our players will be super tired there also our away record hasnt been convincing against park the bus teams so far.Last time i predicted a tricky fixture was at away against Levante when every body was predicting 5-0 s and 4-0 and rest is history Very Happy

Sociedad are in poor form though. We missed two open goals vs Levante and got Khedira sent off for no reason I don't think we will go through the same thing again that said I think we will by 2 goals.

Ozil and Higgy are top fit Very Happy

I guess we'll play less through the wings this time Very Happy

If we press them like we know then no problem but they sure can defend Very Happy

we were in poor form starting from getafe and all the way to Santander

we are in top form atm

our players havent got the luxury to slack as they know another player is poking their butt from the bench

We wont press them,pressing is mou weapon against possession sides,Barca,villarreal,Lyon (this year a possession side),Malaga see that patter n:D

zaragoza begs to differ, we didnt let them breath fhs, if we do that to Sociedad, theyll just give up after the first 15 or so mins

Yup,Higgy seems to find the first goal against PTB but infact one would assume he will flop due to less space given to run onto the ball for him since according to many he is mostly a poacher who can lead the line well Very Happy

We played 4-1-4-1 in that game accidently by coentrao leaving xabi alone in midfield.Since zaragoza was crap and they couldnt move the ball well we did great with xabi as lone DM and won the ball back easily.cant say the same against La real,they have great wingers in griezmann and Xabi prieto..

You also needs intelligent runs and positioning against teams who press higher up too,so higuain seems effective against both PTB teams and teams who presses high up and leave space behind. Heart

The thing is, we have the luxury to adjust our lineup as we need Very Happy

With CR7 off form and Kaka out there (a forward) you need someone to playmake Very Happy

Not taking anything away from benz,his link up play does help us to break some defenses. :bow:

But i must say i feel uncomfortable using word "play making" for that Sad

Real Zaragoza won 2-0 against Sociedad if i remember correctly, and i watched them vs levante, they do leave a mountain of space at the back for our wingers to run on to

but if they decide to park the bus, i dont know, all players are gonna have to be at their top. especially the striker

Would be pretty epic from a Sociadad point of view so yeah that's possible.

Also I don't think the fans will be too confrontational with us, since Xabi will be coming home.

All bets are off if he doesn't start or gets subbed off though.

A player to keep an eye on against La Real, is Inigo Martinez.

He is one of their CBs, and a player we supposedly bid for last summer, but La Real fought to retain him.

We tried to sign 4 of their youngsters last summer but they hold on to them.

I did some digging, and he is in the new wave of spanish CBs, not the most hyped, but he is said to be good. he is just 1.76m, but he is very quick and agile, and he is a ball playing CB with very good passing.

he scored one of the goals of the year already
