What do you mean he is not deserving of NT football anymore.

i know its a big IF.But what if he picks up his form ?He will find himself in the reckoning once again.

not being technically on par with the other spanish players is a different question but why completely dismiss him ?He has still got class and has been there and done it.

If i were Del Bosque i would definitely have him in my squad and for the euros though i think LLorente does deserve to start ahead of him.

if he regains form he gets recalled up... if one person isn't performing u replace them that's how NT work.

@Nick - I am 100 % sure Torres is going to the Euro's.

I wouldn't mind him getting dropped for a couple of friendlies and if it is the case that other players prove themselves then maybe he can get dropped......but in my own personal bias I want him on the team.

I think any natural football squad would have four strikers......so I think they can make room.

As I said in another thread.........we can always sacrifice one of the wingers or more importantly one of the midfielders.

How many Intl friendlies are there before the Euros? If it's less than 3-5 then I fear it's too late.

Finally, some initiative for a change. Torres is undeserving of a spot for the Euros, let alone a friendly game. Unless he improves dramatically, then I simply can't see him in the squad. He looks out of depth, granted he has had some good games. But consistency and confidence haven't been on his game this season. Soldado and Llorente are good shouts to take over, that's if both, Torres and Villa, aren't available. I slightly favour the latter as he knows the Spain system a bit better, but it's unfair to not give Soldado a chance. I'm genuinely surprised at Callejon not being in there...

I really like that squad, only negative to me is Negredo who i dont rate at all.

But i suppose if Villa is back from injury before the end of the season he will replace him.

But that not withstanding Del Bosque atleast IMO has picked a near perfect squad, you could say Enrique and Azpilicueta deserve a chance but are better than Alba and Iraola ?

If they are its not by much IMO, id love to see Enrique get a chance but Alba is quality and offers much more going forward so i fully understand his choice.

BTW whats the max squad number for the Euro's ? 23?

Iraola has been great this year. His call up is deserved imo.

Yeh it is 23. I would have replaced Negredo with Callejon and maybe given Enrique a shot.

Callegol isn't ready yet.

However if Negredo and Navas don't preform he could get a look in.

I think on the season form, Borja deserves to be there ahead of Thiago. It's no fanboyism, just pure truth

Callejon doesnt deserve to be there imo, he hasnt shown enough to be called up, and guys called up in his position are just better. Eventhough Negredo is a bit off form, they need his profile.

Borjito deserves to be there I agree. Thiago is going to be at the Olympics anyway. May as well let Borjito have that spot for the Euro's.
