Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
I'm not going to lie I think we have a better shot at getting something from Chelsea, City, and Spurs away without Gerrard as this season has shown we get completely overrun in midfield by better teams especially away from home. And realistically Rodgers was never going to drop Stevie.
Which is why after the game I said his injury could be a blessing in disguise. However I do think we'll miss him against Cardiff and Hull as his distribution is imperative against smaller teams.

I seriously think we'll be fine with Allen, Alberto, and Lucas at least for this match.

Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
I'd like to see Alberto start the Cardiff match if Henderson is still recovering... or even if he's fully fit (with someone getting a wee bit of rest) as I think Alberto does have something to offer us. I don't think away to Spurs is the best match to throw him into from the start though.

Need Henderson against Spurs. Lucas-Allen-Alberto however good they might be technically, are too weak lol.

None of the official or reliable sources have reported it but rumors are that he left training with an injury . .

Rodgers also has fitness concerns over Jordan Henderson, who has been wearing a protective boot following Saturday's game.
The England international was on the receiving end of a reckless challenge by Kevin Nolan, who was dismissed late on at Anfield.
Liverpool believe Henderson has only suffered bruising to his ankle and are hopeful he will recover in time to feature at White Hart Lane

4 weeks is better than 6. Hopefully he's back at the start of January.

It is expected/hoped that Sturridge, Allen, and Flanagan will be back before the match against Aston Villa.

Liverpool FC have been handed a welcome fitness boost with the news that Mamadou Sakho is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a hamstring injury.
The French defender suffered the problem in the defeat to Chelsea on December 29, and it had initially been feared that he could be out of action for up to six weeks.
Sakho, though, has responded well to treatment, and has been back at Melwood this week working closely with the Reds' medical team.
The 23-year-old could even be in contention for Sunday's Premier League trip to Stoke City, though no decision will be taken on that score until later in the week.

Daniel Agger will miss Liverpool FC’s trip to Stoke City on Sunday after a scan confirmed he has suffered a calf strain.
The Reds centre-back limped off in the closing stages of the FA Cup third round victory over Oldham at Anfield last weekend.
Boss Brendan Rodgers had hoped it was only cramp but a scan has revealed damage to the muscle.
Agger will now undergo further assessment by the club’s medical staff to determine the extent of the problem.

Please don't rush hamstring injuries... if you think Sakho is ready, wait another week.
