Liverpool vs Manchester City

- Kuyt dropped after poor performance last week. Replaced by an extra body in the middle. Hendo is more effective as impact sub I think.

- Front 4 of Adam-Maxi-Bellers-Luis to constantly try and isolate Barry.

-Lucas to man mark Silva....Spearing to look at Yaya and help.

All their width is from fullbacks, GJ and Jose need to be aware.

- Need a MOTM game from Lucas to take Silva outta the game.

I'm pretty doubtful over Spearing starting but you called Maxi last week so you'll get the benefit of the doubt.

Johnson needs to push it...he will have space since Bellamy should take Clichy in most of the time.

Balotelli or Milner is starting?

Mancini is big on rotation, and he'll care greatly about CC game as well.

When there are 3 games in 10 days (Newcastle, Napoli, Us), he gives his squad 2 games outta 3 except CBs, and Yaya. Milner and Balo have started the last 2, so I can't see them starting again. I also think he'll prefer Nasri to AJ as a starter.

As for us, I wouldn't be surprised if Kenny surprised us and went with 3 CBs, Napoli style....I think chances of that are slim, yet possible.

If he uses 3Cb's then Caroll should start.

Depends on what he's playing for honestly.......if we wanna avoid a loss then I can see it.

If he thinks we can win then I don't.

Anyway..I think a better Alternative to playing 3 cbs would be to have Spearing man mark Silva and let Lucas have his natural role.

I would however prefer to go for he win and play either Kuyt or Johnson on RW instead.

Kelly can handle Balo/Aguero/Nasri.

We need Suarez to be at his best......And i actually would love us to play Napoli's formation against them

I don't see Kenny dropping Adam but if we do and play a counter attacking game against them I'm sure Bellamy, Downing/Maxi, and Suarez can score quick on the break (and not just once). But playing this formation we'll need three front guys that understand each others games really well like Napoli's front three and Bellers, Suares, Maxi showed us against Chelsea that they can.

I understand the 3-4-2-1 but I don't think Carra is the best way to go.....nor is Suarez as the main striker

I'm tempted to say no striker here and Suarez playing closer to AM.Bellamy and Maxi making off the ball and Suarez with the ball is ideal

I sort of feel putting in Hendo in the lineup will add a little extra to the lineup . . playing just behind Suarez & providing the creativity which he can provide more as a CAM rather than an RW.

Our mid-field general needs to provide his best that day to stop the dynamic Silva.

I feel defensively we are a stronger team with our more stable CB Partnership of Skrtel-Agger but taking into count the Attacking threat that City posses Lucas is vital.

My suggestion of Hendo comes because for this match i feel there needs to be that added creativity in the middle of the park which Hendo can provide for Suarez. Suarez cannot be isolated above to make chances on his own. So, the trio of Downing Bellamy & Hendo would provided needed flair in attack.

Maxi for me does not fit the bill as his movement is not as fast & dynamic as both Downing or Bellamy which might be a problem if we can break through on counters.

Anyhow finally I would leave everything upon the King as he would no better then anyone on earth on how to decorate Anfield! !

I strongly believe in OP line-up, but one thing is to be considered.

2 Players have given nightmare to City's defense this season. Bobby Zamora and Holgusen. Both are Carroll type of strikers, and considering Carroll has scored 5 career goals vs Cityi n 4 games against them, I think his inclusion may be considered. Don't think it'll happen, but something to have in mind. Was reading on Bluemoon and most of them were hoping AC won't start.

Kenny will have selection dilemmas no doubt.

City struggled with the Ben Arfa-Ba combo aswell ( alot like Suarez-Carroll in style)

@ art: I'd much rather drop Kuyt and play Maxi. Kuyt has been well below par this season, and Maxi is well... Maxi. Scores or assists whenever he's played under Kenny Dalglish.

Kuyt's work rate is the reason I'd start him.

We deserved a win after that performance, but I am ecstatic with the draw. The boys played incredibly today and were unlucky not to end City's unbeaten run. No other team in England has dominated them in the way we did today. It took a master class by Joe Hart to preserve the draw.

All I have to say is *bleep*..........

Adam has 2 goals and 6 assists so far in the league btw. Adam has improved massively, we need Downing to improve his productivity too.....Run in December is key to our top 4 challenges

Fantastic game, Joe Hart what a performance. We deserved to win by a country mile, and we would've if it weren't for Hart's world class display.

I didn't think Henderson was all bad. He did make a few errors which I didn't think he should have, but he shows alot of promise at Liverpool, hopefully he just needs a bit more time.

Would've liked to see a start or at least a subsitute of Maxi. Maybe even Craig Bellamy, he could've caught out the City defence with a few good touches and some pace.

The entire squad really rose to the challenge of the league leaders, most impressive for me would have to be Agger or Lucas. Both we're defensively sound and Lucas was decent going forward.

One of the most exciting games of football to watch, good effort from the Reds, deserved more than a point.
