Also milan were lucky they had no iniesta so was getafe but he will be ready for madrid game.

Barca played 343 against milan, they will play 433 against us,with alves..

Alves, other than his cross for Ibra, he used to be off against us.
If we can win midfield war, the path for the 3 pts will be smooth.

Alves has owned CR7 defensively last year and this year's supercup... it's very strange actually.

IDk if Alves is strong defensively, but i'm sure that CR is the one whlo get himself lost in Clasico (the 1st leg Clasico was a bit good, he tends to play collective). He put all the pression on him and make useless runs any defender can read them easily.
Alves is the kind of players who is well surrounded by his teammates, defensively is a crap.

Our fanbase here has always been "up in your face" types but I realise certain posters have been acting a bit....cocky lately to say the least. I would like to suggest said individuals take it easy for a bit as I can assure you, the backlash of Barcelona beating Real Madrid in the Bernabeu would not be easy to swallow....

Just a doc's humble advise on these matters....

I really keep believing they are more strong than us and they can beat us at home, but meanwhile, i repeat it, a Real Madrid win won't be a miracle.
Barcelona didn't lose a big match for ages (except la CDR final) even when they are in bad shape, so whatever the clasico result will be, NOBODY will be shocked.

Both of you put it perfectly, i know we will support madrid no matter what but i think all of us need to take it easy in the GS until the classico is over. I believe we can do it, but have to wait and see if that belief can be converted to reality.

Gerard Pique could miss the clash with Real Madrid after picking up a fifth yellow card in La Liga.
Having received the booking during the 4-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano on Tuesday, Pique will automatically miss Barca’s next fixture, against Levante this Saturday, and return against Real Madrid.

However, Pique could now face a two-game ban if it is deemed that the booking he earned against Rayo was deliberate.

Modifications had been made to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Disciplinary Code in 2011, which states that any deliberate intent to receive a fifth yellow card (hope not only for Real Madrid) can lead to an additional match suspension.

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola was non-committal about the incident after the match.

“The images show what they show and everyone saw them,” Guardiola said.

“I do not comment on the referee’s decisions. I did not do it with the penalties against Valencia, or the offside against Getafe.” *about to cry*

Ps: The referee mentionned in hisreport that Pique forced the yellow card.

The referee and Rayo coach were laughing :lol!:

The thing with Ronaldo is he's a bit too predictable. He doesn't succeed vs Barca because it's harder for him to dribble against a highline. He eventually gets crowded out because of it.

So instead he needs to roam around more and make space for Marcelo overlapping.

I think Pique was pretty stupid to try and force a yellow card. It would have been smarter if Pep would have rested him next match instead - far less risk.

Pique could still miss the Real Madrid game if the tribunal decides to act on Article 112 of the Spanish Football Federation’s (RFEF) code of conduct - recently modified - which states that ‘if during the course of the game a player deliberately provokes a fifth yellow card...then he could be sanctioned with an additional match and a fine of €600’.

It should be emphasised that the committee will only act if referee Pérez Lasa explicitly states in his report that the player intended to waste time by delaying the free-kick, while if Pique is indeed given an extra game suspension it will be an unprecedented decision in La Liga.

Decision will be taken Friday. It was crystal clear that Pique enforced the yellow card. The article was made last year, and UEFA decision against Real Madrid players will put all the pressure on the spanish committee to apply the law.
IMHO, Pique will be suspended.

I don't know how accurate the stats are but he really improved a lot, less off target shots, less shots in general, passes more after and he's assisting more often.

Ronaldo is shaping out to be the perfect player most of us wanted Cool

The sanction of ONE game is confirmed officially.
Pique will be able to play the Classico.

It's appalling to see that in spain :coffee:

RTL just quoted Mou as saying: "There's no set rotation for the clasico. All rotations are irrelevant for the big games. Whoever gives us the best chance to win will play."

Mou trolls on a regular basis though... he won't say things that give the opponent any advantage. I don't really make anything out of this tbh. I personally have no big preference, other than personal ones, regarding who starts at CF. They're both great and will do fine. In fact, the one coming off the bench has a better chance to score imo.

One of the funniest joke i ever heard-liga committee found no evidence of Pique deliberately getting the fifth yellow. Why the heck was that investigation committee made in the first place????

A post to piss off overconfident guys Smile

Puyol wont start,mehscherano that is.

Might as well see fabrgas instead of villa i wont be surprised.

343? Not sure ,433 has been working against us why change it lol?

Barcelona are the favourites and they need to win it too.Dont let their "poor form" cloud your views when was form a depending factor in clasico matches ?
Last year we were in pretty good form but got destroyed.

Expecting Barca to win midfield battle easily and nick a goal first then madrid to chase it to draw..But of course im hoping for a win,its a 6 pointer match.

Im 100% sure we wont win this tie though, because this barca team is a champion team unlike some old teams who went and finished third when they face hard tasks or when in declining.

Contrary to popular believe we are actually a possession side.

Even though we have some great counter attacking players and goals countering this barca all the time is a lost cause.

Their tactics is simple, break your shape by moving full backs further forward and putting inside forwards to keep our wingbacks back.

Then there remains 2 barca CBs and 3 midfilders against 4 opposition players.5 vs 4 ,midfield battle is lost, add messi droping deep and CBs unable to track him,6 vs 4......dead.

Since we will not have the ball it is impossible to score and it is easy too see their calm and composed defenders will block our occasional counters by fantastic positioning and reading of the game.

That is a realistic post to be honest. I could really see Barcelona taking the lead and us chasing that draw which we would probably get. I've never been fooled by any form Barcelona is in. Those a-holes always show up for big games. And yes, due to their record against Real Madrid recently, they'll be considered slight favourites.
