Yeah, McGregor had everything in the first. After then it was even in a lot of rounds but Diaz with an edge in the last 4. Really close match.

McGregor wants him to go down to 155 for the rematch. No idea how he's gonna make that weight.

Ended up staying up for an all nighter banter, no idea how Diaz didn't get a single judge decision, probably to set up round 3 Laughing

No way Diaz makes 155, I remember when I was 6 foot in school and like 165 and I was a twig.

Diaz? he's fought there plenty of times, although he looks like he bulked up recently

it was a decent slugfest but honestly what I took from this fight was that there are NUMEROUS people at 155-170 that would mop the floor with both of them. Looked very sloppy after the first two rounds and Conor's cardio is quite bad.

Wasn't he a lot younger back then. Might be wrong don't pay much attention outside of tuning in to fights but he looks like he doesn't have 20 pounds to give.

nah he fought there 8 months ago

although rules have changed since, you can't use certain techniques to cut weight now, which is why I don't think Conor will ever compete at 145 again

saw pictures of him doing elite cardio training months ago..either he didn't stick to it or he will just never have good cardio, no reason for him to have gassed as quickly as he did, he was smashing Nate at the time pretty much surgically and pacing himself well..then just gassed. Anyway I'd like to see a trilogy.

Just watched McGregor and Diaz.

Honestly thought Diaz won tbh, to me he won round 2 despite the fact McGregor's gameplan worked for the first 3 minutes of the round the last two minutes Diaz was much more effective than McGregor was for those 3 mins.

Obviously he won round 3 as well with McGregor winning 1 and 4, the final round was very close but felt that Diaz edged it towards the end.

It was a close fight though either way so it's not something i'm going to complain about either way, fantastic fight and hopefully the inevitable 3rd fight is as good.

yup, I had Nate just edging it overall. Conor was saved by the bell a couple of times as he was about to be finished too. Dana White said there won't be an immediate rematch but I think there will.

I had Nate winning 2,3 and 5 but it was very close either way.

Fight its self was a good watch but my least favourite outcome happened I.E A Mcgregor win going the distance. Literally the least amount of banter and nobodies ego was shattered, which is a shame.

It reminds me of prime WWE 50/50 booking Laughing Hope the 3rd one ends in either guy getting absolutely obliterated.

I don't know how anyone thought Diaz won that fight. He clearly lost rounds 1, 2 and 4. He had Conor nearly finished in the 3rd then comes out and does nothing in the 4th Laughing

He didn't want it bad enough

He's trained at a world class gym for two years, he'll be better coached than Gall anyway.

Most UFC guys getting their first fight don't get the level of coaching he'll have been receiving at Roufusport gym.

He probably will lose, but at the end of the day he's been given every opportunity to succeed at this and it's not like Gall is some legit guy either. He is only here as well because he was chosen to fight Punk, not a chance in hell he's here otherwise.

My biggest issue is like most people he won't have a clue how to cut weight for a fight, at the weigh in he looked like absolute shit.

I just hope he doesn't embarrass himself.
