Is that sarcasm? Khabib is a little overrated, several of his fights were very close and it's not like he's invincible. He's quite stiff and sloppy and he must remember that a fight starts standing up and although he's a good wrestler takedowns can be defended.

Yeah it's sarcasm.

His last handfull of fights have looked like a god damn practice tour in preparation for this McGregor fight Laughing

Iaquinta was a striking practice. He wrestlef'ed Barbosa for 15 straight minutes.

He's undefeated.

Conor hasn't exactly looked impressive either. He lost to Nate Diaz once, and almost twice in a fight that could've gone either way. A coin flip basically. And Diaz isn't exactly a world beater.

Not saying Conor can't win. But I think it'll have to be a first round KO for there to be any chance at all. Khabib has him beat in most other things, but he can get overconfident and leave his head open. Luckily he has a great chin.

Khabib picked his matchups really well, that's why he looked superior. In reality, he has many deficiencies - his striking is awful, his footwork is terrible. Conor can keep a distance really well, he's very fast and I think he can avoid getting taken down repeatedly and it's his fight to lose.

Diaz had a reach and height advantage, that's was a big factor in the loss, + they were fighting at a weight Conor wasnt familiar with. Now he's much better accustomed to a higher weight and feels and looks great at 155.

The odds are always against Conor but he proves people wrong time and time again. I believe in him. If anyone's to beat Khabib, it's Conor.

The odds have literally never been against Conor in his UFC career Laughing He's been the betting favourite every, single, match. Stop this narrative.

By the odds I mean what the fans had been saying befor every fight. They said Mendes was a great wrestler, surely Conor can't beat a wrestler, then they said surely he won't beat Aldo who had been undefeated for so long, then they said surely not Alvarez and how did that fight go? Eddie was dropped repeatedly and literally couldn't do anything and Eddie's a warrior, he certainly is.

I wasn't familiar with the actual numbers, that wasn't my intention.

lol didnt Mendes take the fight on like 2 weeks notice? and Conor was literally begging the ref to stand the fight up at one point

Khabib is gonna take him down on the first exchange and maul him

Barboza was meant to have fantastic TDD and Khabib just manhandled him..he's on another level and can take a shot. I give Conor a 5% chance at best.

Do you have any idea how much has Conor improved since the Mendes fight? tremendously.

If Khabib had height and range advantage then I'd agree but I say Conor until the fight happens.

Who knows, perhaps Khabib will eat too much Kebab and miss the weight. He already missed weight for a title fight once......

I would never, Conor is an inspiration for me and he never loses. Either he wins or he learns. That's what he shown after the first Diaz fight, he learned and came back stronger.

i haven't seen how he's improved on the ground since then, no, nobody has and it's impossible to improve to a dramatic extent in a few years at least compared to Khabib who has been wrestling since he was like 6 years old, just impossible

Cormier, the LHW/HW champion and the other former champs from his camp have said he routinely manhandles some of the best ground guys in the world who outweigh him in training and you're excusing Conor being smashed by  a journeyman like Nate for being a little bigger than him smh

Improved how?

Aldo was 1 shot and over. Not exactly something that shows he's improved.

He got outclassed by Nate Diaz and submitted. Then another Nate Diaz fight that was basically a draw.

Then he dominated Alvarez, who isn't really impressive at all.

And then he tried to get brain damage by challenging Mayweather.

Nate finished Conor, smashed him..and Conor came back and edged a decision that a lot of people gave to Nate. I mean, I guess it's an improvement but Nate's still a journeyman.

Nate was able to take the shots since he was bigger, it obviously played a part.

In a lower weight class Conor's shots hurt a lot more. Clearly those additional kilograms helped Nate.

Khabib on the other hand is equal with Conor, he comes straight at his opponents with his sloppy movements and stiff footwork, I reckon he's going to get dropped just like Alvarez did.

He won't be prepared to get hit as precisely and as often as Conor will hit him.

Khabib will learn that when he gets in the cage with Conor. But it'll be too late by then Very Happy

"When I heard it a while ago and I think it's going to happen, my money was on Khabib. After Khabib's last performance against Al - I know Al is a good fighter too - I just don't think his stand-up's there. Conor's just got that left hand, he's fast, he's going to be able to use his angles, his crazy kicks. And I've always underestimated the guy. Like Eddie Alvarez, 'Alvarez is going to run through him.' BOOM! Jose Aldo, 'Oh, Aldo's going to beat him.'"

TJ knows what’s up. Khabib ain’t that good and Conor is actually better than people think. Somehow Conor is always underestimated and I don’t know why. Everyone should know by now that he’s not all talk.

He's not all talk, but he's not Khabib. Gonna be a mauling boy. I want you on here the next day to eat your crow. Vice versa, of course. Card looks utter shit btw, I'd skip it if not for the main event.

What? Even TJ mentioned that everyone said Alvarez and Aldo are gonna run through him. I don't give a shit about the bookies, I care about what people say.

Even now majority of the fighters who give their opinion on the fight say 100% Khabib is taking this one. GSP, Poirer etc etc.

Underestimated again. Doubt motivates him, though.

Miocic, Bisping, Frankie etc. most fighters gave the edge to Alvarez just before the fight. From what I've observed not many people said he was gonna go out and toy with Alvarez, many opinions were 50-50 as well.

Now most people are saying Khabib is going to 'maul' Conor. My point is that it's just not happening. Conor will catch him on the way in and that'll be it.

Have you seen Khabib's fight with Micheal Johnson for example? Wasn't a great beginning for Khabib. If there was Conor instead of Johnson, that'd have been a first round KO. Khabib has a habit of coming slowly into the fight, exactly the opposite with Conor.
