i cant believe we are on our way out because of that cheap corinthians goal... such bad defending is not worthy of a libertadores semi-finalist..

yup , he has no idea what to do.. he just expects neymar or someone to make some magic. but that goal we conceded is not somethin we should see with a muricy team... it's the players' lack of attention..

even the linesman was a corinthiano... goddamn they buy everyone out.. that ending was just pathetic.

but it's our own fault.. that goal we conceded just shows how bad we are defensively, we have no organization, we depend too much on individual talent.
i mean, 1-0 and we would've gone to a penalty shoot-out. we had it in control. but these santos kids are always so full of themselves, 1-0 and they thought they put on their high-heels, completely relaxed and lost focus.

we had had a good run earlier on in the competition, but since the first match against velez it had been pretty clear that we were riding our luck, hoping to reach the final.

so, in the end we're out because of *bleep* durval and bad marking... but i'm not going to be bad loser: corinthians are organized, pragmatic, and that's what wins football most of the time these days. congrats to them, that win at the Vila mattered. We should've played at the Morumbi because the Vila fans are too impatient and they don't help the team on.

Anyway, too bad that the Timinho will lose to boca in the final. Very Happy

and well.. we we won it last year, can't do it every time. hopefully we'll qualify for next year's edition.. we have lost a lot of points in the brasileirao already because we only played with our B team, and that might count against us in the end... *bleep* CBF/CONMEBOL calendar.

Ganso takes several games after injuries to go back to normal,no surprise.if we didn't have Oscar,I'd be seriously worried about the nt's #10

it's been a while since ganso's done something great against a big team. and now that he sees that his value is going down he's talking about renewing the contract again. should *bleep* sell him and bring diego back or something (i'll probably regret saying this but dont care). every time he's getting good, he gets injured, then comes back to the most important matches at 25% of what he normally is. i dont want that.

yeah, anti-football is the thing these days. and muricy can't organize a true beautiful team, he depends too much on neymar's individual talent up front, and borges has the brasileirão top scorer curse - they seem to always fail hard on the season following their top-scoring ones..

Neymar was effectively shut down!!!

Ralf and Paulinha are the GODS of the midfield.. ZIDANilo and Fabio Santos owned that left.. ahhh everything was perfect.. from the pressing to the one touches.

Santos just didn't have an answer for Corinthian's defense.

what are you talking about? we scored a goal, pretty much breaking your defense down. and it was this neymar who did it..
but then we gave you one in return, with our own bad defending. it's not like danilo did what neymar did on our first goal - that was true beauty. he was just totally unmarked because our defense sucks, so he just had to put it in.
but yes, im going to give u some credit: after the 1-1, we lost it, couldn't deal with it, ganso was shit and our team was too slow and stupid. and so you took control again. very organized and calm. congrats and good luck facing another anti-footballing team.. im so glad im going away on vacation tomorrow, i was worried i had to come home to watch the finals but now i couldnt care less, they probably will be the most boring finals ever.. anti-football + anti-football. lol probably like 0-0 and then 0-0 and then penalties. unless La U pulls off a super comeback tomorrow. goodnight!

I never counted on Ganso to be honest.

This elimination may be worst than it seems for Santos. They've dropped many points in the league, their best players will spend some time of the year away on international duty, they are playing like crap, their squad is thin and their signings were all meh.

Santos are starting to regress and Muricy can't seem to fix that. Not that it's all his fault..but I do believe the Muricy era is about to end in Santos. No national titles, the team is not showing any progress and they were counting too much on the Libertadores.

That's some fine trolling from the assistant ref.

As a neutral, I thought it was a pretty boring match.

Looking at the Brasileirao schedule, there is no break for the olympic games. That's gotta suck for Santos especially.

Ganso will probably sign an extension. Deep down inside, he knows he's not ready (and may never be) for the fast paced euro game.

Boca should be up by 4 Laughing

La U not even looking dangerous they keep losing the ball in midfield and are extremely vulnerable to Boca's counter
