Ethernet over Powerline

Post by fatman123 on Tue Dec 27, 2011 8:30 am

so im going to buy an ehternet over powerline bridge thinggy in the nect few days so i can join xbox live, altough i have an issue as im not sure ill be able to plug the adaptor directly into the wall (mostly due to lack of available sockets but also because the adaptor is so big and the powerpints are really close to the ground) so if i were to plug the adaptor into a completly normal power board would it work, and what effect would it have on the quality of the connection

also if i had both adaptors plugged into power boards would how detrimental would it be on the quality of the connection?

and also could anyone recomend some cheap but still good quality ethernet over powerline things?

thanks for the help Smile

EDIT: i found this on the internet, is it reliable?
You can mix and match as many EOP plugs in any rooms. I put one of these plugs in a regular powerboard in the kids room to get the xbox 360 online and it works seemlessly.

If you have a router already you should get this.

NETGEAR WNCE2001 Ethernet to Wireless Adapter

It's what I use.
