Please don't link such sites as they could cause the forum to be closed.

Hate to bump a pretty old thread, but I felt this is related, and I'm not going to open a new thread for it.

Demonoid shut down

Also - Demonoid shut down as a gift to the US government

This doesn't really affect me as I don't use any of these sites (Megaupload/TPB/Demonoid), in fact I've never heard of Demonoid, but I saw this and thought I might bring it up.

I'm kinda glad Megaupload shut down to be honest

Before, i solely relied on them for ALL my viewing content and was restricted to 70 minutes of freebies before i had to wait an hour for another 70

Due to its demise, i've had to find other sites that show the same things...........sites that have NO restrictions on how much stuff you watch.

I'd still be a slave to Megaupload had it not shut down and forced me to look elsewhere

instead of being a slave you could have done with Megaupload was doing to Media industry and bypassed their limit using many different methods

@RedOranje wrote:
Paying people to upload copyrighted files, "taking illegal files down" just long enough to get past the casual observance then putting them back up, and advertising their illegal content.

It was worse than that. Every file has a unique hash code, the way Megauplaod worked was that if you uploaded a file with the same hash code as a file on their servers i.e. the exact same file then instead of having 2 instances of the exact same file, the link you were given would simply access the earlier file. DMCA requests made to Megaupload involved them simply removing access to the file via the reported link, it would not actually remove the file which is was they were supposed to do.

He doesn’t do stepovers, but when he has to perform, he performs. He does what the game asks him to do.”"

Fck you Ukraine for kissing Obama's ass!

I've been a member of Demonoid for so many years and now, with HD-BB also shut down, I can only rely on non-forum sites like rlslog.net ..... T.T

That's why I said Ukraine. They did this just to please US government ahead of Ukrainian president's visit to the States. Who else more important than Obama would he meet? Besides that one of his agenda is to discuss piracy.
