Re: Borussia Mönchengladbach
I hope BMG can snatch up Mario Mandzukic, his contract extension talks fell though with Wolfsburg, he should come dirt cheap. This guy is quality.
Source: http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/startseite/568907/artikel_keine-verlaengerung-mit-mandzukic.html
IF not, another Croatian forward Mladen Petric is a free agent, he should provide them with a nice spark up top.

Re: Borussia Mönchengladbach
Well, hopefully the BMG management will work quietly about acquiring new transfers as then they can try to get better prices for the players than if they'd have to get into a bidding war with other clubs that might raise the prices too much.

Re: Borussia Mönchengladbach
Well apparently they are interested in Luuk de dong. He plays for Twente & if Holland's 3rd ST behind RVP & Hunter.
Kluivert calls Luuk the next big Holland No.9 among the young batch. Luuk is a decently good passer & can play wing & cam. He is a fantastic header too.
But I dont like him that much. Dost (Eredivisie Top Scorer) is a much better Goal Scorer but has no technical skills(he is rumoured to go to Wolfsburg.

Well, you might want to take a look into the "Rest of the World" section for some assorted Bundesliga clubs. ^^

Re: Borussia Mönchengladbach
I aleady posted that in the confirmed transfers, but I think I should add this to the BMG thread, too:
Borussia Mönchengladbach seems to have unearthed another talented youngster - they signed the 19 year old Swedish attacking talent Branimir Hrgota from Swedish 2nd league side Jönköping Södra and gave him a contract till 2016. Hrgota is currently in the Swedish U19 NT.

Not bad, but won't come to cheap. Maybe Guidetti on loan? I bet ManCity won't let him go too cheaply and IIRC, they'd rather keep him.

Borussia Mönchengladbach and former Adelaide United's striker, Mathew Leckie, has been loaned out to German Bundesliga 2 club FSV Frankfurt until 30 June 2013. Leckie is hoping to get some game time under his belt next season.

Re: Borussia Mönchengladbach
I seem to be getting more and more faith that Gladbach can make the group stages and hell, even escape the group stages.
Favre extends his contract, Dominguez move to Gladbach, De Jong will likely go to Gladbach, Santana is heading there I think. Xhaka is there.
I suppose they wre serious about spending the Reus money and then some. Not bad.

Re: Borussia Mönchengladbach
Well, let's hope that Twente won't outprice BMG. I think Luuk de Jong would be a great addition, and if they make it through the CL qualification, it would be great for de Jong, too as he'd be able to play in the CL.

Re: Borussia Mönchengladbach
I'll be interested how much they actually offer for De Jong mainly because we offered 14m euros and it was turned down and it was'nt turned down because he doesnt want to join either it was because it was deemed not enough so if Twente accept a smaller fee from Gladbach i will be very very annoyed.
Not at Gladbach but at Twente.

Re: Borussia Mönchengladbach
Granit Xhaka decided that he would prefer to play the CL Qualifiers with Borussia Mönchengladbach instead of joining up with the Swiss Olympic Team for London 2012.
The Swiss FA agreed to leave him out for the Olympic Team, but he will instead get called up for the proper Swiss NT for the friendly against Croatia on August 15, 2012.
BTW, I just updated the BMG fixtures list.
