COD1 and 2 are GOAT FPS. Dat single player campaign on veteran . The multiplayer was also great. There's something about WW2 weapons that I love. There's a large variety and they're not all 800 RPM, 400 yard laser guided weapons of death.

The Modern Warfare series is basically the same game sold thrice. Good game, but gets dated fast.

I love the constant support i use to get in some missions, I got a lot of blood on my hands, Especially in the Russian campaigns in COD1

Yeah, you actually feel in a real war. The Modern Warfare games are too wanktastic to me, although having Washington DC and New York devestated by non-existant Russian army might have something to do with it.

Apart from that, it's mostly a larger scale Counter-Strike.

The only FPS interests me this year is Bioshock:Infinite and maybe Borderlands 2 the rest are boring re-hashed crap and can go to hell.......

Gears is already out i was talking about what to come when i mentioned Max Payne and GTA

Hitman is high on my hitlist and i cant wait for it.......

I just cant stand multiplayer FPS anymore when i play multiplayer games i prefer third person these days.......

Likes of Uncharted, Gears, GTA, Red Dead and Max Payne is coming i also kind of liked the Assassin Creed MP.

meanwhile activision have at this point released the exact same game three times, adding a bunch of guns to every new release

There's more room for overall improvement in a game series like GTA. I get what you're saying, though. Each new installment in the MW series offered very little, in terms of improvement and diversity. The thing is, though, a great deal of people are content with new maps and weapons, which is why they are able to release a new game every other year. The same thing applies to the FIFA series, and basically, all of EA's sports games that come out every year. If anything, all they need to fix each year is bugs. There's very little difference between FIFA 10-12.

there's a bigger difference between fifa 12 and fifa 11 than mw3 and mw2 tbh...

and that's exactly my point... instead of properly developed state of the art games we get yearly crap that's just bug fixing, if not making it directly worse... and the massive sales obviously send a message that it's perfectly ok, the gaming community will swallow whatever it's served

thank god for small developers, at least they don't feel the need to screw their customers around

I disagree. I think there was a big difference between Fifa 10 and Fifa 11; same goes for Fifa 11 and Fifa 12. I'm not the only one who feels this way in my group of friends.

I can't say the same for the Call of Duty series and they have no excuse (they have more time in between series) and still fail to make much (if any) changes.

Look at Black Ops, very different play style to the MW series because it is a completely new project in CoD franchise. Hence why they can change the play style. And going off this logic, I believe the new CoD will play differently to MW also.

what exactly is the difference between mw and black ops anyway lol? different guns and slightly different hud, big deal... it even uses the same engine for god's sake
