Newsflash. That's what you say regardless of whether you want to dump him or not.

Not really. If you want to dump him you can either say it as Guardiol did with Ronaldinho and Deco, or you can also say the typical: If he wants to leave he can leave.

well, guess we'll soon know how intent on keeping Pedro Lurcho in fact was, when we find out whether Barca indeed insisted on the clause or sold him for less hmm

Regardless of how high or low each Barcelona fan here rates Pedro as a player there is no denying that he has made some significant contributions in the glories of the last several years.

Also I must point out that getting a manager like Jose Mourinho to ask his club to pay E30m and being a regular starter for Spain with Del Bosque are not negligible things. It seems as if Pedro is rated higher in the football world than he is among Barca fans here.

What matters more than anything though is that his dedication and professionalism have been unquestionable. So I hereby thank him for all his contributions these last several years and wish him all the very best for the future, even if it means playing under Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho bought Cuadrado for € 40M and sold de Bruyne for € 17M profit who is now rumoured to go for € 80M to City 1 1/2 years later so that is hardly an indicator. Nor is Pedro a starter for Spain. He's played a total of 92 minutes in the last Euros despite Villa's broken leg and Torres ... well, being Torres and started 3 games in 2 World Cups.

Wish him all the best though. Always came across as a likeable person despite being a bit shit at football mixed with 1 or 2 moments once in a while.

I thank him for his efforts these years and thank him for those 2 seasons he was very good. I wont outright celebrate him being sold, but to get that money for him is the first time in a long time we have made a very good sale.

Yeah, he certainly was a significant part of our success. It's a shame he declined so drastically. 30M seems like great business, I agree.

Maybe a change of enviroment will resurrect him, who knows...

Pedro: "I talked with Andres and he tried to convince the club to let me go. He showed he's a great captain and a great teammate." [marca]

Iniesta knows best. Laughing

It sounds more like Pedro saying "Hey Andreas, you are captain, can you tell the board to let me go? They won't listen to me."

I see nothing wrong with that, Iniesta was just helping his friend out.

Yeah. Obviously he means that Iniesta talked to the club to not put obstacles in Pedro's way if he wants to leave. But it sounds funny the way it's written there. Laughing

Farewell Pedro. The only thing we can be upset about, is that he didn't reach the 100th goal for us. A Barça legend nonetheless. The canary Lucho.

Hidden behind Chelsea being a laughing STOCK (much to my delight) is Pedro playing fairly well imo. He looks much more confident than he was with us the last seasons and while obviously not taking the league by storm he is playing quite well considering nobody at Chelsea is.

At Barca he gave impression of lovesick kid wanting attention of parents always trying to impress them. At Chelsea however he looks cool and in control.by far best performer for them imo. However we did lose our insurance I must say

At least Rafinha is getting chances. He offers probably as much in attack as Pedro did last season
