Re: International Watch 14/15
Early team news for England is that Wilshere and Chamberlain will start and Chambers will be on the bench while Welbeck is likely to be left out after rolling his ankle in training. Welbeck is, however, expected to be "okay" and will, presumably, make the squad for Monday's game against Switzerland.

Re: International Watch 14/15
Wilshere played around 65 minutes and was very good in a two man midfield alongside Henderson. Accurate with his passing, including a couple of nice through balls, and didn't run into as many people as he usually does.
Chamberlain played around the same amount of time but struggled to get into the game.
Welbeck came on for the last 25 mins and looked bright. Got one good effort off at goal, pressed well and was positive when he got on the ball.

Re: International Watch 14/15
Podolski replaced a injured(?) Draxler in the first half as Argentina killed Germany. Can't say much, as I was too pissed to watch after the 1st half.
I am again so glad that we didn't buy Gomez - I remember the blasphemy here when he signed for Firenze. Missed 3 sitters in the first half, simply because he didn't look up before taking the shot. Sanogo-esque.
ADM was sublime.

Re: International Watch 14/15
Sanogo - absolutely awful in the 1st half with the U23 team. 4 balls served to him on a platter and he makes the keeper look like the next coming of Neuer. They weren't even hard saves either. Zero conviction in his finishing.

Re: International Watch 14/15
Sanogo scored a deflected goal... he was lucky. That shot was weak and right at the keeper. The defender tipping it made it go in

Re: International Watch 14/15
Second goal was legit... keeper and defense made awful mistakes. But there was an acute angle to score even if there was no keeper.

Sanogo scores twice for France U-21.
Dammit! We could have saved £16million by sticking with him up front...

Re: International Watch 14/15
He was crap MJ. He got WIDE OPEN shot after shot against Kazaghstan and was toothless. He scored on 2 of 10 great chances that he had... with 1 of them being very lucky (deflected shot that would have been saved otherwise).
I have massive criticism of him last night:
- horrible runs. As a CF, you're taught to try to get as close to the line of the ball as you can when the ball goes wide. He kept peeling off to the PK spot. Makes very few of the runs you need him to.
- Awful technique. Couldn't hold up the ball.
- Bad feet. Lacks coordination so his shots all look awkward.
I don't like him. I don't like him at all.

Re: International Watch 14/15
lol im tempted to agree with your belief that sanogo is a bad player. but lets see if he or welbeck gets a couple goals in a couple matches, i dont care who gets off the mark first.we just need one of our 3 young guns to start firing. doesnt matter who, or how terrible they are etc.. we just need one to work for the gunners to start on the rise again...( i prefer welbeck and would like him to succeed more over sanogo btw)

Re: International Watch 14/15
Why are we talking about Sanogo learning coordination and shooting the ball properly? Think his progress stalled when he suffered all those injuries as a young lad. Without his physical prowess, he wouldn't start for Accrington Stanley.
With Welbeck in the picture, I can't see Sanogoal racking up the necessary experience and playing time in order for him to grow as a player. At least not here.

Lol, was banter Sport. I know, the goals were pretty straight forward anyway, a deflection and a mixup with the keeper.

Re: International Watch 14/15
Ozil, who missed the Argentina game due to the ankle knock he got during the Leicester game, is now a doubt for Germany's game against Scotland on Sunday. Initial signs are apparently "not good".
Daniel Sturridge is injured for three or so weeks, so there's a good chance Welbeck will start against Switzerland on Monday.

Ospina played 90 minutes for Colombia in their 1-0 defeat to Brazil last night. Neymar scored a late free-kick, Colombia were down to 10 men.
Re: International Watch 14/15
why do we have so many english players now? i hope welbeck is the last of them

Wenger trying his best to do his bit to help English football, but I rather care more about Arsenal than I do for England. And it's known that England dosn't produce the best footballers.

Why shouldn't we have the best English players? Or do you mean to say Ox, Wilshere, Gibbs etc.. are not good enough for Arsenal?

Re: International Watch 14/15
‘I was having a chat with Luke Shaw and I mentioned Tony Adams and he didn’t seem to know who I was talking about,’ Lampard, who retired from international football last month, told The Sun.
‘I said: “Are you winding me up?” And he said: “Who did he play for?” I knew then then it was time to retire.’

Re: International Watch 14/15
If you think Arteta is slow then watch William Carvalho
Really not surprised that we refused to pay so much for him, for a defensive midfielder he doesn't seem good defensively even against a poor team as Albania.

Wilshere and Welbeck start for England against Switzerland in what could possibly be a diamond. Chambers and Chamberlain on the bench.
