Re: euro 2012 discussion thread
This Italian team is a work of a magician, one of the most variative and mobile teams I ve seen. They can play attacking game, cattenaccio or even tiki taka with italian flavour
What will Prandelli choose against Spain?

No 3rd place match at the Euros. The German team already arrived in Frankfurt yesterday.juventus101 wrote:Is there gonna be a third place game between Germany and Portugal or no?

Portugal? I'll give them until the semi finals where they will get knocked out by Spain, book it.

Barrettinator wrote:Dunno why everyone is underrating Italy. With the amount of Juventus players, I can actually see them reaching the Final. They're good enough to beat a side like Germany, tbh. The Dutch will either bottle it in the group stages or reach the semi-final, the former is more likely though. Regardless of whatever happens, Spain are winning it. Look out for Torres to score again in the final.

Re: euro 2012 discussion thread
Weird stat:
There were 50 attempts from direct free-kicks at Euro 2012, of which only 4 hit the target & only 1 (Pirlo vs Croatia) was scored

Re: euro 2012 discussion thread
Hm. From what I heard, Jogi Löw never trained any set pieces (he said he didn't have enough time as more than half of his squad wasn't in the training camp until the very last days). Hansi Flick supposedly tried to talk him into more set piece training anyway. We'll see - if Löw actually does that, then the German squad would improve quite a bit right away. After all, it was set-pieces that more or less broke us our neck. ^^
