Re: 2012 International Friendlies
Neymar is CR 2.0, doesnt do anything relevant but will get on the scoring sheet.

Marcelo is such a dirty player, who seriously kicks out at other players in a friendly?

If only Marcelo was consistent defensively.

Re: 2012 International Friendlies
Brazil's keeper was ridiculous. Honestly, Brazil played like I expected them to. They looked very good. Give them two more years to mature and gel and they will be seriously dangerous in Rio 2014.
Was anyone else impressed by the US in this game? I know the scoreline looks bad, but I can't say it was representative of their performance. At several points they were simply unlucky. Dempsey's tap-in clear by Romulo, Bradley's header saved by Rafael, and Boyd's shot could've easily gone the other way. More importantly, they didn't fold up after going down to a world power. Overall, I think it was a promising showing for Klinsmann's boys.

Re: 2012 International Friendlies
I said it long ago, Rafael is the future for Brazil, all those jefferson, Alves, Cruz are pretenders.
Marcelo...he needs to freaking track some runs, and start sticking to his position a little more. As soon as Brazil get the ball, he is next to Neymar, that's ridiculous. And he acts like a clown so much, you can tell it takes his concentration away. His 1v1 defending is good, he just needs to track back ffs

Re: 2012 International Friendlies
U.S played better that the scoreline shows but had Rafael not been boss it would have been a very different scoreline. Good game overall. And the commentator said that Ganso messed his knee up in the Libertadores.

Re: 2012 International Friendlies
Marcelo's positioning in the first half was shocking, he was often even further up the pitch than Nerman
But he improved in the other half and had a decent defensive display overall.
The right side, on the other hand, was truly bad both in defense and attack.

Re: 2012 International Friendlies
Danilo had a bad game. His first one in a yellow jersey.
Rafael isn't ready to be #1 yet... He looked very shaky in corners and when it came to aerial balls. He'd come halfway out then find himself out of position and couldnt read the angle of a shot very well when it came cross body. or read the line, but all comes with experience. He's too young though. Till then I'm fine with Jeferson.
Ganso got injured before the Libertadores game. He had a small operation on his knee. Is ruled out for a month.
USA lost to out Olympic team.. lets be serious. the A-Team would probably run up the scoreline.

Brazil were obviously the better side, but every break they could have possibly gotten near the goal, they got.

Re: 2012 International Friendlies
That's not entirely true. Leandro Damiao was alone with time and space with only the goalkeeper to beat and he missed a relatively easy chance. Pato also hit the post a few minutes after he came in. So both teams could have added a couple of more goals.
Maybe if it was our full team we wouldn't have let up in the second half but that's just speculation.

Re: 2012 International Friendlies
I don't disagree with you, but more to the point I hardly see replacing Juan with Lucio, Danilo with Alves, etc., as grounds for "probably" running up the score. That's a fantasy.

Re: 2012 International Friendlies
Boys worked hard today, but Brazil's rhythm is very tough to interrupt in the first half. Always a bit craftier, savvier than us when it came to movement.
More than anything, it was the finishing that separated the two today. Brazil were clinical, we were wasteful and unlucky. This was probably our best performance since the 3-2 loss at the Confed Cup, scoreline notwithstanding. I don't think I've ever seen an American team get behind them with the frequency this team did tonight. Very promising and very encouraging.

this is a joke right... more like replacing Sandro with Lucas Leiva/Gustavo and Romulo with Hernanes/Ramires and adding Dede instead of Juan and best RB Alves in for Danilo...
Yea you aren't scoring. Enjoy bunkering.

How are you really going to go that route.
Improved Brazil players against the same US line up would have made the game worse, yes.
But improved Brazil players against an Improved US line up and not much changes.
Especially considering that Onyewu was directly responsible for all of Brazils goals and his garbage ass passing created a lot of scoring opportunities for Brazil.
You can also argue that if Williams wasn't sent home with an injury he would have played the 6 moving Bradley to the 8 and benching Edu.
Dempsey coming off an injury and Jozy not playing.
Both teams can play that argument. In the end it was 4-1. And 5-3 would have been fair in terms of how the match went.

Re: 2012 International Friendlies
Oscar was superb again.
If he continues doing that, I think he should be Brazil's 10 with Ganso playing deeper.
His passing is laser sharp. I like his style alot.

Re: 2012 International Friendlies
Nerman making Mehcelo look good
As i haven't watch Brazil in a long time i was quite shocked and impressed with how well they press from the front and the front 3 has immense potential.
Defence also has the tools to be immense for years to come the only question i have is the midfield ( although thats full of talent too)
A question about Lucas Moura when i have seen him i have only seen him play wide can he play in midfield? if so Leiva-Moura-Ganso/Oscar =
