I don't think we can beat OKC or San Antonio as currently constructed.

Still need a great Backup point (Bayless) , a Scorer (Mayo) and to re-sign Predator. Hill and Novak would be nice as well.

I know we can't get all that but we need some of it to compete.
@dmize wrote:Not surprised, good for Ray he's got a great shot at a 2nd ring. The writing was on the wall for this to happen ever since they began starting Bradley, and then exploring multiple trades with him. That, and the problems Ray and Rondo have had the past couple seasons.

Hope he doesn't get too much hate. Not much has been said about Nash really, and he got his GM to accept a lesser trade to go to a rival...

What did you get back?

Still feel different situation though, as Ray would be on a legit contender if he signs with Celts.

Hope he doesn't get hate though

? You mean the Ray Allen trade earlier in the season? We would've gotten Mayo and a pick before Memphis changed their minds.

Nah you said a lesser trade , we gave up four picks and 3 million....I thought it was a sign and trade.

Not important tho.

I meant in regards to what the Suns could've gotten from NY. Shumpert >> late 1sts and late 2nds.

I suppose, Shumpert is injured and wehter he comes back the same is questionable , and they already had their heart set on Dragic and Marshall
anyway to be fair.

Shumperts 6'5/6'6 if I remember correctly. I'm sure the Suns could've used him at SG.

Anyway Ray is gunna get so many open looks off kickouts in Miami it's ridiculous.

Ray Allen hits at 1.71 points per shot from the left corner; best player/spot combo in the NBA. MIA get looks there; There will be blood.

Would've gotten more with us Sad

Chicago is done, their goes their defensive strategy against Miami.Thibs may find a way but he's hating this more than anyone I'm sure.

You guys have better wing defenders and Rondo will personally hassle like a fly but then you need to get it done on the boards.

Don't think anyone else is even relevant.

Lol @ Mavs. They have done *bleep* all since winning the ring last year. They seem like a hot chick who can't find a boyfriend after losing her virginity.

Obviously Ray Ray signing would be a great move, he would be the consistent shooter Miller isnt (because he only really shoots well when he is allowed to do more than spot up) however I read Marcus Camby may be going there also.

If he does, that to me is bigger. The rebounding and protection of the rim he brings completes that team.

Bosh
Bron
Wade
Allen
Mario

That as their crunch time line up, with Camby, Haslem, Battier and Cole as options wherever the situation demands is pretty great.

Thought of another aspect of Allen to the Heat... He is now their most clutch player, and now they got someone to take their big shots :coffee:

Final Team USA roster:

Chris Paul
Kobe Bryant
Kevin Durant
LeBron James
Tyson Chandler
Carmelo Anthony
Deron Williams
Russell Westbrook
Kevin Love
Blake Griffin
Andre Iguodala
James Harden

I thought Rudy should've gotten in, but I can't be mad at picking Iggy. We got enough scoring at SF, taking a lockdown defender is a better move. Blake, Iggy and Harden were the last 3 in.

Not one great shooter in the team from the bench. Harden's good but he's not a great shooter. Overrated Griffin is pointless in the Olympics. USA will still probably win the Olympics but I don't like the squad (mostly due to injuries).

Among the players that were dropped and those that didn't make it due to injury, there isn't one "great shooter" if we're to go by your logic.

On this team, Durant is a great shooter. Melo to a lesser extent too. Kevin Love is also a great shooter. Harden is decent too. Paul is decent as well. Who did you expect? Ray Allen? Laughing

The U.S will probably still win it.

Read Woj's article on how the divide between Rondo and Ray came about....and it's actually a very interesting read.Particularly the part about how Ray became tired of being corrected and almost coached by Rondo and how Rondo preferred Avery Bradley who he meshed well with.

url=http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--heat-gave-ray-allen-reason-to-again-feel-wanted.html]Heres the link[/url]

Suprising, because Ray is an extremely intelligent player, it's just testament to the fact that Rondo is just on another level with these matters.

Doc's comments that KG's contract was also a influential factor also suprised me, KG deserved that contract Ray didn't.And jeaslousy there is pointless.

Rondo's an a-hole tbh. A great, great player but he's full of himself. If their were problems between him and Ray, he was the reason for it imo.

Where were Docs comments in regards to KG and Rays contracts? Obviously KG deserves 12m(not sure about 3yrs), what contract didn't Ray deserve?

And yeah Ray did sacrifice more than any other player on the C's. People talked about how all 3 sacrificed parts of their games when they got to Boston, but Ray did it the most... And never complained. Paul Pierce hardly sacrificed imo.

""When it comes to basketball, Rondo is the smartest player on the team – one of the smartest players in the league," one locker-room source said. "And Ray considers himself a smart guy. But at some point, it became hard for Ray to be corrected by a guy so much younger than him." "

Good article, but that's not at all why they had problems. They're just clashing personalities.

"Allen has suggested to people that the capital he built in three years at Connecticut and five with the Celtics would transcend the cries of betrayal and boos. Allen has never been the enemy, the bad guy, and it will hurt him in New England."

Maybe in Massachusetts, but there was a poll on Connecticut's main news site that said 92% support Ray still.

Ray is my all-time fav player and I've followed him since 1995, so I'm not gunna stop supporting him either. Wish him the best of luck, just not against the Celtics. Against any other team I'll root for him to go off.
