Nah, because then Spain will just pass it between Pique and Casillas all game long, besides this Italy side is'nt that defensive as Prandelli is an attacking coach.

I am predicting a 1-1 draw anyway.

who's gonna provide goals for spain though?

only starter on that team who can score is llorente, if vdb ditches him for either negredo or the hairdresser spain are *bleep*... iniesta scores only in semifinals and finals, silva is a shit finisher and xavi will be too confused that he's playing AM to provide anything...

He already featured last night during Germany-Portugal. I was so shocked when I saw him. Wenger is there too.

On topic, I hope Italy can win, and it'll be especially interesting to see what formation they'll be playing with. Lots of rumors of a 3-5-2 with De Rossi as a CB.

I just hope no team sit back and make the game boring.

This is the line up for the game.

.......................Casillas

Arbeloa.....Pique..........Ramos...........Alba

...........xavi...... ..Busquets.........Xabi

silva.....................Toress................Iniesta

#Alba constantly overlaps and links up with Iniesta.

#Iniesta drops into midfield and makes the midfield number 4 and creates a equilibrium with Italy's 4 men midfield.

# Torres to play as a pure 9.

oh no, xavi and his barca mates are screwed if they dont play well enough. get ready for murinho troll quotes, especially xavi mou is out for revenge. I knew the response to xavi's comments wasnt enough from mou, he knew he would get his chance. if del bosq wants the best out of his barca players he should tell them that mou will be a paundit on one of world's biggest networks, that will fire them up surely

What i really look forward to , is Italy's 3-5-2 ;

it's a system that if played with patience and cohesion in the middle, could disturbe Spain's possesion football , imo.
Now , assuming they will get it right , what Italy are going to do with the ball and their (assuming it will work) earned possesion, it's a completely different story .. most probably , pass it to Pirlo :coffee:

A draw is very possible , but if it doesn't end like that , then Spain will have won . I can't imagine Italy winning this game , despite history and whatever .

3-5-2 most likely to be is

Buffon
Bonucci De Rossi/Ogbonna Chiellini
Maggio TRIO Balzaretti
Cassano Balotelli

With midfield trio being Pirlo supported by two of Nocerino, Motta and Marchisio.

Of course , but i believe an Italian could say better than me ; but anyway

Buffon

Bonucci - De Rossi - Chiellini

Motta
-----Maggio - Pirlo - Marchisio - Balzaretti

Cassano - Balotelli

i am not sure of the flanks , imo they could change in the last minute. There are some certain players though ..

I'd say Marchisio is a definite starter. DDR is 99% going to play like Mascherano as a DM in the CB position. I think Ogbonna will get the nod over Bonucci -that's just personal preference though. I'm a bit unsure about Motta/Nocerino too, but I've decided to put Noce in as the most likely to start. He was used in training in that position (although Motta is probably be the better choice). Cassano and Balotelli have great chemistry and will almost certainly start up forward.

Ogbonna De Rossi Chiellini
Maggio Marchisio Pirlo Nocerino Balzaretti

Not true at all Laughing Mourinho already responded to Xavi's comments and said that it was unneccesarry for Xavi to say it. Laughing I don't think he stirs up stuff unless he sees some advantage in it.

I personally believe we'll see Motta and Bonucci in the 3-5-2, however intriguingly the noise over Giaccherini possibly being fielded on the left has been increasing, though I believe that Prandelli will err on the side of caution and begin with Balzaretti. I'm predicting a 1-1 draw with plenty of chances wasted.

See some good football from Spain though not many chances created or scored though Spain will get the win through the appearance of Cesc Fabregas.
