Look at this way: if that goal stood, England would be rightfully upset because the player should have been given offside in the build-up. Ukraine might be upset the goal wasn't given, but if the correct decisions was actually made, the play would never have made it that far.

So whether there was an injustice against Ukraine really is a moot point.

If it was a blatant foul, then yes, it probably should not have been counted. However, fouls are often subjective. There is nothing subjective about whether that Ukraine player is offside or not.

You can say we were lucky to win the game, but had the goal been given, I can easily flip the argument around and say we were hard done by because the offside wasn't given.

If they let play continue, goal should be counted. I mean England could have scored on the counter and Ukraine player had to take a yellow. There is no butterfly effect rule in football. England cheated today.
