Aside from Aguero, Tevez, Silva, Nasri and Yaya, there aren't many players to worry about. :coffee:

Just 5 out of their 6 attacking players.

I'm worried about Balotelli lol.

Aguero is missing the game If I'm not mistaken, but he doesn't particularly bother me , Tevez moreso because of Ramos' positioning.

Nasri not at all lol.

Not worried at the slightest. This game will just prove how much Madrid and Barca are ahead of the rest of the so called top teams.

What a start to the season, I hope the team makes amends for a poor start to the season against City on Tuesday. The team needs changes, Coentrao should start ahead of Marcelo, Benzema ahead of Higuain and Modric ahead of Di Maria. I'm expecting a very tough match but a narrow victory for Real Madrid.

@buddytaller wrote:Mourinho said Essien COULD start tomorrow. I doubt he would though, I see him coming on later if the game is already won. I think the Argentinian players would be rested for this match after arriving a day later than the other internationals.

I'm expecting this starting line-up.

Casillas
Arbeloa - Pepe - Ramos - Marcelo
Khedira - Alonso
Ozil - Modric - Ronaldo
Benzema

Callejon may start in place of Luka.

coentrao for marcelo

food for thought: how about a crazy attacking line up

Modric - Alonso
Ozil - Kaka - Ronaldo
Benzema

Very Happy

Yaya Toure:

"For me, the key to the result means winning the midfield battles with Xabi Alonso, Mesut Ozil and Sami Khedira. This is the key for the match."

midfield battle aint the most important thing for us and i think we shouldnt harp about it too much . main problem is our concentration at SET PIECES, WHICH ALWAYS ALWAYS COSTS US . also lack of defensive concentration at times which could prove to be a problem against the city attack.

Not to mention , our attack needs to find form, and morover team should be united. If we achieve all of this in tandem or even most of it then we can put up a good show

Varane is so calm and cool on the ball, that back flip he did when he was pressured by two forwards at the back was pinpointed to the unmarked Arbeloa!

Essian is short of fitness, he's not so sharp on the ball, and he can't run behind City's player, plus City aren't really threatening, Make khedaira play his role, and let Modric play the khedaira's current role.
