I didn't pay much attention. Villarreal defence made mistakes in Sergi Roberto, Lobato goals and and the penalty, but I don't know who was the culprit. Will check the highlights. Apart from this, they defended well especially stopping Deulofeu, although I think that was more up to him having a bad game.

Match highilights. Great goal from Lobato. There are many, many saves from Masip missing. MOM.

Playing vs Jerez right now. 1-1. Deulofeu scored yet another very good goal and we hit the post three times. However they equalized just after half time.
We are dominating and playing well now.
3-2 now!! They made the comeback 1-2 and in two minutes we scored 2!! Espinosa and Luis Alberto. Good contribution of Araujo in both goals. Luis Alberto playing as midfielder and doing very well, he should be played there permanently if he wants to have a chance to play at the 1st team someday.

Luis Alberto is really good. I'm not sure he'd find a space in the first team but he looks like a great player.

Watched the first half and the last 15 minutes of the game.

The first half we dominated very much, should of been 2-3 goals up. We hit the post 2 times.

Not sure what the hell happened to turn the game on its head in the parts I missed.

Deulofeu's goal was fantastic.

4-2 final result btw. Joan Angel Roman came in the last 3 minutes and scored.

Deulofeu needs to get consistent. Not only between games, but in the game. Needs more involvement and keep playing well instead of being anonymous for 60 minutes and then make a super play, which is what he is doing now. Well, I gues it mostly comes with experience and age, but he really needs to improve mentally wise, he has everything else.

Well, there's another thing I'm worried about: does Stamina improve after 18-19 years old Dani? Specially lungs? Deulofeu looks to have shit stamina . After 30 minutes he is all red and can't track back.

Theres many arguments for that, I think its inconclusive honestly Free.

I think this.

For whatever reason, some say your genes, others say your environment you have what you can call "natural stamina".

Two guys can do the exact same training, but one of them still have superior endurance. Better "natural stamina"

As I said, some say environment, some say its your genes. I think probably both play some role.

Then you can improve. Your lung capacity, you cannot improve...how much oxygen your lungs can hold. Different person to person.

However, as your aware with training, you can improve your energy system and use oxygen more efficently.

Without getting too technical and digging out my uni books to remind myself, my best answer is it depends on how hard he trains.

If he has already worked on it and he isnt lazy, actually trying to improve his stamina, im afraid he will likely always have this problem.

If he has been lazy, perhaps he can improve. But its unlikely that someone of his level already will improve by much.

Ozil for example will always have questionable stamina, Cafu even going into his 40's will not.

That's bad news then. Deulofeu really has not a stamina of a top professional footballer, like Ozil. It can severly limit his future at the Club because he will need to play second fiddle for Messi and possibly Neymar for a long time. With his crap stamina he won't be able to do that. Although perhaps he can improve: I don't think he doesn't work hard at training, but I heard he smokes a little. Maybe quitting can help him.

Here the highlights:

I am really disappointed to hear he is smoking. Smoking *bleep* up your stamina, I was a smoker myself and i decided to quit once I noticed that i was getting tired to cross my town swimming pool even once. I used to do it without trouble even if i did not train the whole winter. With each year I passed smoking i was getting tired more and more, until finally i barely could have energy to get out of pool. Now 6 years after quitting, with 15 kg more body weight, and without any training, any sports i can do it without any problem, and don't feel tired at all.

I hate athletes who smoke!

Well, it's a rumour. I've never seen him smoking or any 1st hand source. So it might as well be bollocks.

His stamina is so rubbish that it would be great that it was because he smokes. Very Happy Otherwise he will have a big problem cause he can't improve it a lot miraculously.

Deulofeu is joint top scorer of Segunda having played 300 minutes less than the other top scorer.
The B is 13 points clear off Real Madrid Castilla, who are only 2 points away the relegation zone.... and in two weeks Real Madrid Castilla are coming to town. Thumbs up

Well i hope he can keep up for 60 min at least. I think we are in rather good situation with plentiful wingers, so rotating them would also be a solution. Though it will suck for him, as he might never be regarded as highly as he might be with decent stamina.

EDIT:

And to think in the beginning of the season we were debating with some RM fans about Castila being better then our B side LOL.

My man Araújo...he's been playing well has he? Shocked

Very selfless play from the on-loan Boca player.

He made two assists.

It was the first time I seen him play in a full game, I guess I been unlucky, but he impressed me honestly.

Highlights of the 2-2 vs. Almeria.
Lobato with a great goal and an own goal.
Masip misses a little in Almeria's second goal.

Deulofeu is a great offensive weapon, but a liability on defence, does not track back, I now see why he is always being subsituted.

Surely conditioning is something that can be worked on? Or is he not responsive to that kind of training?

Highlights:

0-1 Rafinha
0-2 Lobato
Deulofeu hit the post in a trademark play.
Then they made the comeback. Anyway, we went 9 games undefeated so it's ok to lose, especially vs a Catalan team.
Btw, Evil Castilla is now on relegation zone, although they have one game less as they are facing Almeria at home today (2nd placed). Very Happy

Second defeat in a row. Seems we did nothing. Deulofeu was benched.

Saw the game, thought we wouldnt talk about it Laughing

Poor, poor performance...deserved to lose.

Deulofeu might aswell of stayed on the bench, we brought him on in desperation and someone like him, all its does is get his mind off playing a team game.

Lost again. 3-2. Deulofeu scored both goals. 0-1 was a nice Deulofeu goal after a one-two with Luis Alberto. Ref. denied a clear penalty on Dongou who was a starter. Ponfe made the comeback thanks to Oier mistakes and bad defedning, and finally deulofeu scored the 3-2 from penalty kick after a clear penalty on himself.

Bad momentum from the B who has lost 3 games in a row and sits now 9th 11 points clear of relegation and 8 points clear of Madrid. Deulofeu is joint top scorer with 15 goals though his development is still worrying because he is still a highlights player with low stamina.

We broke our bad momentum and won 1-0. Dominated the whole mathc. Deulofeu was suspended. Rafinha with a great goal where he dribles 2 players with his "terrible" first touch.
