State championships take place at the beginning of the year and operate independently from the national league. Different states have different tournament formats but their results have no bearing on the Brasilian league.

If you mean by that company, CBF, then yes Laughing

btw Ney Franco teetering on the edge of being fired. Its becoming weird with all these firings becoming so frequent in Brazil, not many coaches are left to hire lol.

Maybe that' could explain why Brasileirao aren't doing too hot in International competitions. Too many managers moving around.

I noticed lol. Was sad to see that there was no Inter at Libertadores. No Corinthians or Santos or even Sao Paulo either. Can't have Libertadores without those teams.

Flamengo was always the garbage team who only got in because of their cup win. We had a good team until our management came in and destroyed it. That and Seedorf leaving to coach a relegation threatened Italian team a couple of weeks before the start of the season really screwed us.

Guto Ferreira is Figueirense's new head coach.

Wagner Lopez is Criciuma's new manager. << Laughing He has no experience and he didn't even wow in the paulista. Criciuma's probably going to go down even with a decent roster.

Man, I would love to see Felipe Luiz as our starting left back. He's twice the player Marcelo is. Too bad it seems like Felipao has already written him off.  Sad

Same here. Great, great player. I can't understand why Scolari was taking Maxwell over him after the Confederations Cup.

I think Felipe Luis might be clear cut #2 behind Marcelo.

And no Marcelo before his injury was having a great season, just as great as Felipe Luis, plus Marcelo + Neymar on the left is the best duo on the NT. They both single handedly break defenses down and generate about more than half the goals on the team. Felipe Luis is a defending Fullback and always has been, it doesn't fit Felipao's system who plays a somewhat false 3-5-2.

Yeah, Marcelo is a beast going forward however he can't defend at all. What happens when Spain brings on Navas? An instant penalty, that's what. Felipe Luiz is a more complete player and not a complete defensive liability like Marcelo.

Who cares about Carlos Alberto joining our third stringers? Emerson Sheik did really well against Inter though. Why did you guys let him go on loan?

we let Emerson Sheikh go on loan cuz he didn't wanna be at Corinthians anymore.. it was pretty obvious. We're better off without him anyways.

btw Felipe Luis doesn't bode well going forward which is more important since DL and TS both showed they could pick up the slack left by Marcelo when he ventures forward or breaks down in the back. Marcelo + Neymar in the back outweights Felipe Luis + DL and TS in the back since bulk of our goals come from the the two linking up one way or another in the left side. Whats the point of having 2 volantes if our laterais arent pushing forward?

I like Felipe Luis, but Marcelo bodes much better than FL would in Brazil going forward. tl;dr option.
