Coutinho & Moses out wide give us creativity

it in the central area we lack creativity, not sure playing Suárez in hole will work when  Rodgers wont drop Gerrard, as he lack mobility , not good at defending

Best player after Suarez for me against Norwich. He completely dominated the flow of the game and beautifully connected midfield to attack. We are a whole different team with him on the pitch. Match against Hull with him on the bench was miserable, when he came one you could instantly see the difference.

Hendo's off the ball movement and penetration is top class, if only he had any sort of quality on the ball Sad

Coutinho has 4 goals and 7 assists now in his Pool career.

Amazing stat here

Coutinho has started 21 games for LFC since his move in January. Our record with him starting is 14 wins, 6 draws, and 1 loss. The only loss came against Soton last season in March where Coutinho scored our only consolation goal. This season we have not lost a single game with little Phil starting.

Our most important player for me Proud

He should have scored a few more goals. His long-range shooting is crap and he doesn't get into scoring positions inside the box. If you look at Raheem and Coutinho in last 3-4 games, it's the former who gets into scoring positions.

He goes for power too often when attempting long-rangers, yet he is much better at placed, "finesse" shots. Gets well enough into scoring positions, imo.

He's nothing like Ozil to be honest.

He doesn't go missing.

The only problem Coutinho has now is he lacks composure at times, especially when shooting for goal. He'll only get better. He's 21. And this is the first time since Espanyol he's had consistent game time. So he will improve with a consistent run of games in him.

*THIS WAS BEFORE THE MANCHESTER CITY GAME*

In Coutinho’s last six starts he’s created six clear-cut chances (sitters) for Liverpool and Suarez has created five (in his last six starts) – Suarez is the leader in the Premier League for creating clear-cut chances with ten so it shows how well Coutinho has been doing. Unfortunately Liverpool have only converted one of Coutinho’s clear-cut chances (Suarez’s 2nd goal against Norwich) which shows how poorly Liverpool have been converting them this season. Liverpool have created a league high of 56 clear-cut chances but only converted 34% – below the average of 37.5% in the league. Manchester City by comparison are converting 44% (Arsenal 45% / Chelsea 47%) of these and this leads onto my point that it’s not Coutinho’s fault that he’s not being attributed with the goal assists. Had Liverpool finished all of the clear-cut chances Coutinho would have the 2nd most assists in the Premier League this season. So whilst it looks like Coutinho isn’t contributing what everyone misses are the clear-chances he’s creating for this side.

If only we had an attacking midfielder / Sturridge didn't get injured to exploit this. ;(

Even in the City game it was obvious cause in that game we had 3 Clear Cut Chances and we scored 1 and City had 1 Clear Cut Chance and scored 2

However, it cannot be denied that conversion has improved from last year for Suarez but if you consider the MF players Allen, Coutinho, Hendo & Sterling the low conversion rate becomes obvious.

Exactly, the whole team isn't clinical enough. Goals from midfield is a worry. We need an attacking midfielder.

SAS stand out, and their the main reason we're winning games. But there isn't enough goals in this team. Half of our goal scorers have stat paddled their way when the game is buried and we're going to win or we win a penalty... majority of "spread" have scored when we're 2-3 nil up. We need to take the pressure off SAS.

Like that thing said before, we have the most "clear cut chances" created. It's just majority of the players lack that inexperience / composure in front of goal. That's sort of why I want a mature / experienced type of player. But that's for another thread...

Coutinho's been playing as the "left" inside forward again Art....... Allen's been playing as the "CAM"

theres a reason i want to upgrade lol, nothing against Allen but hes not an attacking midfielder....

Allen hasn't bee playing as a CAM. we've been playing with Lucas as the deep pivot CM/DM with Allen and Hendo as runners (box to box CM's if you will) in front of him.

Allen's been playing as the "advanced" midfielder in fromt of Lucas and Hendo. There's a reason I want him replaced. Again, I rate the guy, but in the role hes playing, we need more. Hes definitely been
given that "free roam" role to do whatever he wants and go forward. The only reason you see him as a CM is because he helps the midfield. Getting an attacking midfielder (Which what I've been crying out for and see it as the "problem" we have in the squad) will help support the midfield and help the players in the final thrd.

I think it was lucas right of the Cou to provide an option for him to pass. But later he realised what Cou is upto and stopped running Laughing please get another CAM and we are done for the window OR may be a full back.
Also I think Cou is getting nervous with his long range shots and trying too hard sometimes, i hope one of them soon goes to make him feel relaxed
