seems like a good game to rest our guys. castilla play on the same day as us so we can expect none from them to join us altho nacho doesn't actually play for them these days.

marcelo has to get match practice and I hope to god he starts against United. him and ronaldo combines the best and they could terrorise that side like they did against city.

kaka can start this one to let ozil rest and essien-mdric in the middle with xabi getting a fouple of mins to shake away any rustiness. callegoat on the wings and benz up top. don't care whaat keeper tbh doesn't really matter

mou needs to experiment the side he will put against united in this game
i expect the starter of this game at the left back position to also start against man u and i think it will be fabio,
i would rest arbeloa,ozil and khedira

if he should experiment the line up he should play against united why do you want khedira and ozil on the bench

most of them played alot of mins for their NTs save the players who stayed and dimaria who was still subbed at HT.

we can't overwork the guys we have quite a tough schedule coming up making them play all games just means they will be exhausted when the going gets tough.

I'd rather we just rested most starters seeing as the league is lost anyways. I would have hoped one or two youngsters playing but unfortunately they are in danger of relegation so none of them will be available for the first team

sevilla are a bunch of thugs ss well you don't want anyone injured do you I am sure fergie will rest most of his guys as well.

I hate Sevilla. Still sort of have a soft spot for Negredo but hopefully we play better than we did against Granada

Marcelo isn't even called up for this one, no way he'll play the next CL match. Coentrao has been good though.

thats really weird because on the website it says iker, varane, nacho and xabi are the only ones not training with the team

either he has a slight knock and is resting him or there is something going on between them. no way he is benched for this long if he was ready.

dimaria was also out of the team but he was working in the gym so he is probably cautious with him before the important gameagainst united.

modric did the press conference so he is starting.


would be my pick. god grief imagine if xabi is injured for the united game

Cacktrao against United

Let Varane start - he has the legs.

Let Lopez start - he needs the game time.

Rest Khedira - he doesn't have the legs and performs better when rested a full week.

Play Ozil and Benz 30 minutes each for flow.

Callejon and Di Maria can play if fit

Ronaldo can do whatever he wants. Resting the whole game would probably be the smart choice so I'd predict the exact opposite.

Mourinhio had countless opportunities to give Marcelo game time and he didn't. If they wanted Marcelo they would have made an effort to play him He played in the Valencia first leg and he played well and didn't play again until we were losing and needed attack.

i dont know why marcelo is not included but i guess he isnt ready to feature fully. in the video on the official website he is seen training with his teammates, comfortably. i hope their isnt any problems with him and the staff.

if things goes well and we are leading the game comfortably then in the second half kaka on for ozil, essein on for khedira, callejon on for benzema.

Got a big feeling Mou is going to rest a few players since CL is his only hope of keeping his job... Wouldn't want Modric and Essien to par up in honesty. Nedrego will just walk through them and given that Modric cannot harass or defend anywhere near as Alonso or Khedria. If you take the lead then I can expect Ronaldo to be taken off like the game before the Clasico. Lopez should start in goal to get practice for Man U.

Mourinho is playing mind games with United once again, Varane and Alonso are definite starters for the United game after being given more than a full weeks rest. Back on to the game I think Real would start with a strong squad, I doubt Ronaldo would start though after a tough international midweek and a sore ankle. This is my preferred line-up.

@sanchez, brace yourself for modric when a player participates in the press conference it means they will start and he did it also essien is like his son so you can expect to eeem him as well

@cyborg, if you want ronaldo s side to be ineffective you start cacktrao he is like arbeloa in his younger days we play at home which means we must win and playing marcelo is the only way to do that.

Prefer, Essien and Khedria as the 'holding mids' and have Modric further up field. I'm not saying these players won't be playing. I think they will but you cannot rely on them to do the dirty work for you guys. Modric especially doesn't have the capabilities to do this. Sevilla is a dirty physical side against you and be sure that they continue. Gt have Khedria and Essien winning balls otherwise you will be on the back foot throughout the game

yh I was hoping medel wouldn't be available at least that way we wold get some mercy

as for modric further up he has done it before and ended up so deep I would have forgiven you if you mistook him for xabi. if anything if he plays he should do it as a cm maybe do alonso's role of staying deep and spread the ball

kaka should play as our AM if ozil is rested he might be bad but he is at least better than modric as an AM. ronaldo should be rested wasn't it this team who got him blooded last time we met in which he was taken off at half time?

However we play in midfield we will struggle so itsimportant for our players to stay injury free

i have been waiting a long time to see higuain and benzema play together.

cant remember the last time the two started a game together.

i am excited to see the team play with them and kaka.

wonder if the better performer out of the two will start vs manu.

i prefer higuain, but jose may be thinking differently. maybe he will surprise everyone and play something like this:


it unlikely but it a crazy, unpredictable selection though. plus it can work. it can be effective.

we kinda saw something similar versus barca couple weeks ago.

ozil was brilliant. but mourinho wont start the game like this, it would be our regular starting eleven. if anything this is a good alternative.
