I tried to get up and watch the second half but set my alarm an hour ahead of half time which got me pist.
Im happy we won and more importantly, play 3 forwards. Also glad Song got a full 90 as well.

As a forum, this game was very hard to get up, keep awake for but DEFINATELY it's a perfect time for fans in Spain to watch the match in the stadium. Your opinions on the perfect timing for fans like you and me but also timing for fans to get to the game without staying up too late?

Doesn't work for me at all. Kick off was at 6:00am where I live. Missed the 1st half and watched the 2nd half-asleep.

I follow you CB, I do.

If for example, Cesc never came...we had Thiago, promote Sergi Roberto and/or Rafinha for the midfield....no need whatsoever for Cesc and we dont have to worry about Xavi's age or injury issues.

And another thing is we could of jumped on Cesc wherever. I am convinced he wasnt going anywhere else....he loves Arsenal too much to just leave, not unless its a special case like Barca is.

Could of easily rolled without him and hop on him if we needed.

I cant speak about people coming to the stadium, its up to them what they feel like using on their time.

But for me, its no good. If I go out Friday or Saturday night, how am I suppose to wake up at a reasonable time to watch the game?

Nah, its not for me.

Hope Alex remembers this before blaspheming again about the messiah.

I dont think its proves much, only he ran today.

It proves that when messi doesn't run its not because of lack of motivation or because he has a big ego.

Ignoring it was for the motivation, he would run more vs big teams than small ones.Today's was a quite unimportant and unmotivating game.

If it was for his ego, he would always run little as ego changes don't happen every few months.

Perhaps so, that makes sense. But if he is fatigued, I got to ask why..why more fatigued now than 2 years ago?

I rather the games be at night for barcelona, you could see during the game Pique had to lift his arm to see past the sun, could affect us in a negative.

That part I agree with, and it adds more of a appealing view to it, sunshine makes most people happy but like I said if it makes our centerbacks partially blind or keeper, I rather play at night.

I don't think he runs or presses less than two years ago. I remember several moments of very little workrate from Messi in 2010/11 season perfectly.

It's just that he does the walking show for 3-4 matches every some months and the issue comes to our mind then.

Well I think its more often now...or more dramatic maybe...walking combined with not running off the ball towards goal unless he is going to score..he doesnt run to create space for anyone else anymore...but that started happening long long ago.

Either way, I dont think this will be the end...if he doesnt run in an important game, someone will be pissed off if we dont win.

As I said before, its not our biggest "problem" so im not so bothered.

On the fatigue question, simple answer is that he hadn’t played the same amount of consecutive top level games 2 years ago than he has now. These guys barely rest between seasons and with heavy national activity as well Messi of 2010 had significantly less games on his feet than Messi 2012. The important thing is that as you said, it’s not our biggest issue, so I’m not too concerned either.
On the game, I didn’t manage to watch it but the highlight seemed really sexy. Especially Iniesta
