He's probably a bundesfodder legend ala Grafite or Meier (:

I think we should have him on the banner tbh
His douchebag look is atleast better than having boring, lifeless figures like Sommer on the banner (:

I absolutely don't.Infact I can name you plenty of English and Italian players from the 90s but not German/(Bundesliga) players. They really weren't all that popular outside of Europe until the turn of the century.
Bundesliga was basically yesteryears Ligue 1.(I mean the Ligue 1 before PSG was sold.)
Nobody cared about that league

Dude started the WC final in 2002 and was a fixture in Germany's team in the late 90's/ early 00's ffs. it's not like he was some obscure Bundesliga player .

I run into some who said, "Pep is unable to evolve and learn".
I do see a difference and I personally think he has had a change in himself a little bit (in sense of learning and evolving), but it'd be interesting to see what others think.

Re: Pep Guardiola appreciation thread
The pressing and counter-pressing was almost perfect, one of the best Bayern performances that I've seen. Including Heynckes age. Which is kind of hard for me to say.
Though I felt like Bayern were a bit too open, meaning when Juve got to countering, they were more dangerous than they needed to be. But I feel like I shouldn't judge Bayern (and/or Pep) on that as a tactical choice, because of the many injuries in defence. Would've probably changed a lot, having Boateng play.

Viva
What am I reading
I have to say very clearly.
Yes, Pep's not perfect. Yes, he's a bit of an idiot, and quite much a diva, sometimes. Yes, he can *bleep* right off for leaving and going to City.
Yes, the result yesterday was in the end dissapointing, and it's not good that we couldn't keep Juve out after dominating them to such an extent.
Just like we couldn't keep Barca out, or Real, or even Gladbach at times.
In fact, a team like Juve, with a coach like Allegri, have certain qualities we and Pep do not have, and it might well mean we won't get past them after all.
They could come and defend well and then beat us on counters to a 1:2 or something.
But, to the extent that it is possible to not care, I do not care.
After watching a game like yesterday, how we play, I'm just completely euphoric.
This is enough. This makes me happy already.
There is no coach in the world who is remotely as spectacular, and whose style is so dominant, as Pep.
He's a *bleep* genius, and it was a huge pleasure to have had him as coach for 3 seasons.
Semi losses, 1/16 exit, won't change that

To be very clear, if Boateng is back, and you're this open again when defending, I'll resume shitting all over Pep.
For now he's off the shitlist though.

Re: Pep Guardiola appreciation thread
“I don’t give a f**k about physical condition” – Angry Pep swears at journalist after Juve draw:
Pep Guardiola was so infuriated with Bayern Munich’s performance against Juventus in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash that he lost his cool and swore at a journalist during the post-match press conference . And it was not just because Bayern drew against their opponents, but the manner in which the stalemate came about.
After the game, a visibly angry Pep Guardiola told reporters, “The result is what it is. I know that in Italy you are about physical condition. I don’t give a f***k for the physical condition. It’s the mental question that I care about. I didn’t expect to come here and expect Juve not to shoot on target, or that we would play 90 fantastic minutes.”
“They have players like (Mario) Mandzukic, (Paul) Pogba and (Leonardo) Bonucci, one of my all-time favourite players. And we showed character.”
Even though the German champions had scored two precious away goals and have a home rematch awaiting them, Guardiola and his men know they could have made their chances even better had they held on to their two-goal advantage.
“We could have won the game,” lamented the Spaniard. We have a team with many youngsters. We will learn from this. Don’t forget it was Juventus.”
“We played a great team, the finalists in the Champions League last year. We did not play a team from the provinces. They have won four titles in Italy. Last year, they went further than us.”

Isn't Boateng out for the season though?
They can probably get through Juventus without him but against Barca they'll need him.
