Just finished it..wow. A gorgeous, exceptionally satisfying journey of mindf*ckery.

I was staring at my screen for at least three minutes after it ended, no game has left me that way.

10/10

Will go down as one of the greats.

Yeah the musical score in the game is superb. Make sure you watch the credits at the end, not just for story reasons but they have a pretty awesome video duet from the voice actors recording a song for the game.

It's beautiful and appropriate after the ending Proud

I hope this game has as many memorable quotes as the original...

"What is the difference between a man and a parasite? A man builds. A parasite asks 'Where is my share?' A man creates. A parasite says, 'What will the neighbors think?' A man invents. A parasite says, 'Watch out, or you might tread on the toes of God... "

Hi guys, wasn't a big fan of the old Bioshock games, only becouse I enjoy games with good story telling and I didn't like Bioshocks way which was picking up diarys etc.

This one seems different, would someone who didn't like the other 2 games like this one? Seems like they got a protoganist that can speak this time aswell

The game doesn't have diaries this time, although there are recordings which you can listen to that tell you more about the lore of the world. The game has an immersive world, and the fighting is a hell of a lot of fun. The storyline is extremley interesting too, it can get a bit complex (dont want to spoil it). imo i think you should try this game out, i am an avid fan of single player games with good storytelling just like you

Bioshock Infinite is orgasm in motion, you don't need to play the game to enjoy it, just walking around gazing at it's beautiful world and the characters.

It's one of those game that you must play before you die.

Really good game and story, however I was a bit disappointed having only watched the gameplay videos that released during its development, I expected a much larger more "alive" world. Watch the e3 gameplay and you'll see what I mean. Almost certainly will still be up there for game of the year, I can only see GTA V challeneging it so far realistically.

Dark Souls 2 is GOTY ffs. Mad

Anyway, I never saw the development videos before I beat the game, but I saw them after, and yeah, literally nothing from the previews was really in the game lol. They made the gameplay look far more epic. The gameplay really wasn't anything special to be honest, but the narrative and the setting (which was great, but underutilized, like you say could have felt so much more..alive.) kept me hooked.

Yeah it seems like a husk of the E3 video tbh Laughing at least as far as details go, like the interactivity with the small details like those toys falling off the shelf when the songbird came, Elizabeth messing with the Lincoln mask etc., although she would interact it would just not be to that level of detail, for example at most she would maybe say something about a comstock poster or cough if she was around someone smoking. the only thing they really kept was sort of general gameplay as they kept the shooting and most of the vigors it seems, but I still wasn't able to Bucking Bronco someone into a freight train car Laughing

The setting still looked fantastic though, you could feel the ambiance in most areas, but it didn't feel as big and interactive (especially with tears) of a world as it did in the pre-release videos, you sort of got the feeling you were constantly in small corridors.

Im a little bit disappointed in the linearity of the game. But overall its been a lot of fun.

One thing that I like about this game more than the first bioshock was that the first one didn't quite take advantage of the fact that the game took place underwater. Like it was underwater, but it was more for atmosphere than anything, there was really no like swimming level, or much that made you feel the danger of being submersed so deep in the sea.

This game does a bit of a better job, it takes place in the sky but its not just a shooter that just happens to take place in the air. The rails really make you feel like you are pretty much flying. Its a ton of fun, and doesnt feel like anything I've really played in an FPS before.

Overall the first one, might still be the better overall game (stronger story, atmosphere, level design a bit better) still a really great game. Feels like this generations Resident Evil 4 in a lot of ways to me.

I have played and finished the previous two games in the series and I had great expectations for this one and I even bought into the hype. I must say that not only did it fulfilled my expectations, but it has left my brain with a giant hole as a result of the massive mindf$#k I have received from it. I have to say that when I first saw Columbia, I nearly cried myself to sleep over its beauty and the Lutece twins should have a movie made around them and the world. Not only it was insanely fun to play it was like I was watching a truly great movie, too. I would love to see a Bioshock Infinite movie, just keep Uwe Boll at least 1000 lightyears from it.
