Re: The official loan thread.
Aspas' seven goals for Sevilla made me go wtf, but after checking it out, I see he has scored SIX in two cup games against some scrub side x)
Anyway, Ibe and Origi to take Borini's place and push Lambert further down in the pecking order, I'd be happy with that.
We'll see what happens with the CB situation. Toure's contract is up in the summer and he'll be 34, I hope we won't offer him any extension. That would open up a space for one of our loanee CBs, Coates, Ilori, Wisdom. I hope one or two of them would be in the squad next season.

To be fair, I think he could of had a role for us this season.

Re: The official loan thread.
I believe Aspas, Coates & Assaidi are as good as gone. Aspas probably has clause in this regard in his loan deal. I'm pretty sure Brad Smith doesn't have any future with us as well.
I'm quiet surprised that Ilori played in only five games. Wisdom is playing in RB/RWB position but Rodgers prefers someone with more attacking qualities and I think he might be shipped-off too.

Re: The official loan thread.
I have kept an eye on Ilori for Bordeaux. He would have played more if he wasn't injured for 3 months. Sadly he's very injury prone but still he's done well in the 4 games he has played.
Right now he's barely back from injury and luckily Pallois (one of Bordeaux's starting CBs) got a red card and will miss 3 matches. Perfect opportunity to walk straight back into the side for Tiago. It also helps that Pallois and Sane got absolutely destroyed by Lyon so I think Sagnol is fed up with them.

Re: The official loan thread.
I think Coates looked quite good against Newcastle. I still think there's hope there...maybe Rodgers will take a look at him. To be honest I would rather have Coates and Ilori after this season than Toure and Skrtel.
Ibe looks menacing but I question his game intelligence a bit. I'm not sure he will go through the same evolution as Sterling. Origi will come back here in the summer and be evaluated I think he'll stick and play quite a bit next season. Luis Alberto has talent but I don't know if he's suited o the PL so maybe he plays well on loans and gets sold for a decent price. Aspas and Assaidi are definitely gone. Wisdom could be kept when we let Johnson go (ideally) this summer. I think Teixeira and Smith will either be loaned out again or sold.

Re: The official loan thread.
Ifthi from that list I can only see Ilori, Origi, and Ibe actually being kept next season.
Aspas, Assaidi, Coates are definitely done here I feel. Can't see any of them staying past this summer.
Tex, Smith, Wisdom, and Alberto are up in the air. I can see any of them going on loan again or being sold.

Re: The official loan thread.
To add to the mix, personally I'd prefer Wisdom to be the CB that would replace Kolo. He's playing every game for WBA and is looking defensively solid. Quick and strong. I think he would slot in the easiest.

Re: The official loan thread.
So Kolo and Johnson are definitely gone this summer as their contracts are expiring. So yeah Wisdom will be useful as a squad player as he can cover both CB and RB.
However I would only be happy with Wisdom being 4th choice CB, and 3rd choice RB.

I might be tempted to keep Wisdom as CB and try Alberto to replace Allen. Tex and Smith should definitely be sold.Tex, Smith, Wisdom, and Alberto are up in the air. I can see any of them going on loan again or being sold.

Can only see Ibe and Wisdom sticking around. Origi as well I guess. Really depends on who our manager next season is for the rest of them.

#LFC youngsters Lloyd Jones, Kevin Stewart and Jack Dunn have all signed for Cheltenham Town on loan.
Gonna keep an eye on Dunn.

Don't think any of those 3 will ever make it with us. Glad they are getting themselves on a path to a career instead of waiting.

Ibe apparently going to be recalled, could have a role in the first team according to Rodgers.

That would be great news. At the same time signals, perhaps, that Rodgers is going to stick with this 3-4-3 and maybe Ibe will be brought in to play wing-back from time to time (so we don't have to play Henderson there).

Dunn and Stewart both scored on their debuts. Dunn is a natural goal scorer.
They are leading 2-1 at HT

Re: The official loan thread.
Teixeira has scored twice for Brighton tonight, that brings his season tally up to six, I believe. If he scores a hat-trick, is he going to be the next one who gets recalled?

Re: The official loan thread.
Well I guess selling Suso means we are giving Tex and/or Alberto a chance. Should be interesting. Imagine if they are competing with each other who gets to have another chance with us.

Re: The official loan thread.
what do you guys think, keeping Suso when Gerrard wll be gone next summer, would have helped us`? Alberto and Tex, it seems difficult that both of them will be playing for us in the next season, I hope they find some another club in EPL for a loan move.

Re: The official loan thread.
Suso is a neat little player, but when I saw him playing for us, he lacked determination and general idea to his game. Didn't strike me as a player who would make it with us. The same goes for Alberto, they both just looked somehow too casual on the pitch.
I wouldn't mind giving Teixeira a chance next season, but he's just got a lot of competition in front of him, especially since Ibe should / will be given a chance before him.

None of the three are good enough for us. That's pretty obvious for me.

Also, all three play/prefer a position where we have Coutinho, Lallana, Markovic & Raheem.Fahim89 wrote:None of the three are good enough for us. That's pretty obvious for me.
