Surprised no one has made a thread yet considering this is the first since the Results of September, looks like our results have hindered us haha. (If someone has sorry must of missed it)

Live coverage of the memorial and free view of the LFC channel all day, docos and news and stuff available.

So far the memorials been nice, great speakers and great storys, liked bill kenrwrights speech(everton chairman), thought it was nice.

Yeah was just watching the videos on LFC site. Kenwright's speech was outstanding!! Really got me emotional. Plus the chants for JFT96 in between his speech simply mesmerizing ! !

Well i have only a few words from all of our favorite songs. . .

"with hope in your hearts and you'll never walk alone. You'll never walk alone"

Skipped class and was fortunate to view the whole ceremony. Absolutely wonderful speech by Kenwright and very thankful to see no incidences of embarrassment from our players as you can expect nothing less from the other attendees.

Seeing Suarez nearly break down was moving and a testament to his relationship with the club.

JFT96. Thoughts and prayers with the families.

ESPN Films, creators of the critically-acclaimed 30 for 30 film series, will premiere a new series in April surrounding the 2014 FIFA World Cup on ESPN. 30 for 30: Soccer Stories will include a mix of standalone feature-length and 30-minute-long documentary films from an award winning group of filmmakers telling compelling narratives from around the international soccer landscape. In addition, a collection of 10 vignettes about Brazil’s rich culture will be featured throughout ESPN’s FIFA World Cup programming.

“With ESPN being the home of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, we know that sports fans will be looking forward to high quality content focused on what is perhaps the world’s most revered sport,” said Connor Schell, VP of ESPN Films and Original Content. “We feel this is the perfect time to expand upon the success of our 30 for 30 series by focusing this collection on some of the incredible stories of soccer’s legendary past.”

Two feature-length films:

Hillsborough, Directed by Daniel Gordon

25 years ago, on April 15, 1989, the worst disaster in British football history occurred in an overcrowded stadium in Sheffield, England, 150 miles north of London. 3,000 fans flocked through the turnstiles to head to the area reserved for standing, despite a capacity of less than half of that. The result was a “human crush” that killed 96 people and injured 766.  Initially the police blamed fans for the disaster, but a long investigation revealed that was not the truth. Prior to the disaster at Hillsborough, British football was known for the grime of its stadiums, hooligan fans and inadequate facilities, but great change came after the Hillsborough disaster. What emerged is now known as the most rich and powerful soccer league in the world, the English Premier League.

btw i don't know if any of the admins might bump in here but as the whole football world has given their tributes on the occasion I just had a request or a suggestion to change our Header picture for a day in memory of the 96. I don't know how long Red-O has been off grid but if anyone bumps in.

Just finished watching the 30 for 30... shaking with anger. No matter how many times I watch or read things on this, I still can't believe this happened and that the people in power were this arrogant towards it.

Feel free to pm if you want a link, although I don't know how long they'll be up.

Actually for those that already know all about Hillsborough and seen enough footage of it over the years, I would recommend not watching that. While being a fantastically made documentary it adds nothing new to what most of us already knew. It opens up old wounds and is really hard to take emotionally.

But some that don't know the details then I guess you should definitely give it a watch.
