Worst season in recent memory

We've had bad seasons before... but never one where we played like absolute crap stylistically AND had so much disgraceful drama.

Thank you Mou for making this whole season an abortion since training camp. You started with making the players hate you... then you moved on to insulting Spain, La Liga and everything you could get your hands on.

Not only are you not an average coach by Madrid standards... your 3 years when looked at in totality were a failure. You suck in every sense of the word.

Now GTFO before you get seriously hurt in Spain. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Yeh, hopefully with the season ending the club get can refreshed over the summer for next season under a new manager.

Not winning anything while getting so close actually isn't that bad. It's just after all the drama, losing the final at home to Atletico of all club is just a too epic way to close this season

smh mou i hope your rep takes a big hit, how can one man be so stubborn and show such lack of vision, how does xabi alonso,khedira,pepe, di maria and arbeloa didn't lose place in the starting xi to real competition is beyond me, almost every match for long stretches some completely average players are strolling through the mid and defence like its a joke, its obvious khed xabi due is weak gets destroyed every game how does he not see that

we have no bench strength at all, kaka, carvalho, albitrol, morata and callejon its non sense can't believe mou didn't offload half of the name on the list, the sporting director would!, you know the one we fired

we played beautiful footy from 2003-2006.... really great team to watch. Our problem then? Injuries and defense. Age became an issue for some too. But we were so fun to watch and never once did we have a manager that was a stain on the club.

Don't insult those teams by comparing them to the ugly, underachieving and badly managed madrid of 2012-2013.

Real Madrid fans don't deserve this. next season the club should do everything in their power to erase the disgrace of this season from the memory of our fans and it'll take a huge effort for me to forget how shat we've been this season, absolutely unbelievable for a club like Real Madrid.

Who is going to remember those "achievements" in 10 years? Only things that will be remembered are eye poking, Mou fighting with his own players in the media, Atletico winning the Copa at SB and finally ending their Real "curse". And on top of this our other rival won the league.

oh and 2006 and 2004
all worse than this season
at least we made it to the semis of the Champions League and finals of the Cup

i kinda see your point though,
Mourinho showed his weakness as a manager
showed his inflexibility and showed that he does not care for our club as an image for the world....
he disgraced himself this season and sadly the club too, and honestly i want him gone(believe me this is alot bigger than it sounds, i normally never want a manager out of the club)

yesterday Iker Casillas showed who was the bigger man, he has kept quiet the entire time while Mourinho goes about talking shit about our players and how badly we play

that's what i mean pk92. In terms of results, not the worse. But the style of football played was terrible (often unwatchable) and the disrespect shown to country, club and players was insane. I found myself utterly disgusted halfway through the season. You're going to have bad season in germs footy.... that's just the game and it can be very unpredictable. But the rest of it? Completely avoidable. There's zero excuse for it.

To me, the worse season i've witnessed as a Real Madrid fan. Never been disgusted like this before.

i agree, at least when Juande Ramos was there in 2009 we didnt look clueless in attack
this season, if Ronaldo was not around, we literally had no idea where to put the ball. We arent able to play against 2 lines of 4 and Mourinho could not fix it so he bitched and moaned about the situation

Glad there are still reasonable fans on this forum, we've come a long way from being trashed by Alcorcon, losing 5-0 and 6-2 to Barcelona and failing to qualify for the quarter finals of the Champions league for 6 consecutive seasons.

This season has been bad but let's not overreact, apart from the league, we were not too far from our set targets. With a bit of improvement here and there, this team would win big things next season. There's no need to start from scratch, it will set the team back 4 or 3 years.

It's funny how all the clubs bar one Mourinho has been at the players would die for him and he achieves amazing success. Then he goes to Real Madrid and is marred by infighting, disappointing results and by JMs standards is unsuccessful. Mourinho's track record speaks for itself... there is nothing wrong with him... there is something inherently wrong with Real Madrid. Full of prima donna's and players who care more about themselves than the team. You need to get over your hate for Mourinho and expect more from your players. It is they who have let you all down.

In terms of football, yes. In terms of atrocious disrespect to everything Spanish and utter lack of class... this one is worse by a margin although Clownderon was atrocious.

We lost the league officially that year on May 16... this year, it happened on May 11. But our usual early CDR exit happened and we got molested by Liverpool in CL lol.

But for me, nothing, and i mean nothing, will overcome the disgrace that Mourinho was this year. Truly unbelievable. Hope he gets his due in his last home game and i'm sure he will unless he's too much of a coward to show.

Mou has a place right next to Calderon in Madrid history.

There is wrong with Mourinho... He is never meant for long term. He builds team for short term success. His chelsea,Porto,Inter and Madrid stint all confirms that keeping him more than 3 years is a huge mistake.
