Since Simeone got to Atleti he is the coach with the most CL finals with 2. Amazing.

When Usmanov joins him eventually I can see it happen tbh, they have a big project going despite their current awfulness.

I'm sure he might want something, doesn't mean it will happen.

If Inter didn't convince him how do Everton expect to? Laughing

Not that much, they have FFP limiting what they can spend.

Now Simeone's Atleti is pretty much finished. Seems like next summer is a good time to go and Inter's door will be closed for now.

Maybe United will replace Mou with Simeone to continue to bore their fans.

Everton is co-owned by one of the top 20 richest man in the world. If there was a possibility of getting Simeone, then i am sure they would break the bank to get him

but I can't see him go to Everton. Too much of a downgrade at his age. Rincon is right that it's more likely he goes to United if Mou goes to PSG.

FFP is a lie and would not survive a court challenge. This is why whenever PSG or City have sued UEFA for FFP infringements they end up settling, UEFA doesn't want a precedent that would cause them to scrap FFP altogether.

Looks like I misremembered and it was supporters clubs, not the clubs themselves, that ones that sued

I just remember (barely) a group of PSG fans suing UEFA over FFP. Not sure if they were successful or not.

It seems to only work in Italy. Outside, everyone just seems to find their ways around it. The Prem is too rich to fall into it. The Spanish teams that spend money, most definitely earn money. PSG finds their way through it summer after summer

It's a joke really

That's just about 3 teams total plus the prem. Everyone else is subject to it because they aren't rich. Football is a lot bigger than that.

when he actually leaves Atleti, despite the fact he's obviously a very effective manager..would fans of ANY top team out there welcome him? I'd rather get punched in the balls than be forced to watch 5 games in a row of his brand of football, and no Mourinho doesn't play the same way. Mou can become a coward at times, but Simeone is just evil.

Most would welcome him for a while. He has done so well that most top teams starved of titles would jump at the chance. Inter fans would love him for sure.

This is the 4th european final for Simeone in 6 years

I don't think Atletico's style is ugly.
They are strong, and also technically strong. Their passing is good, they have technically excellent players.

No comparison to the eye cancer that Mourinho's Utd is serving up

What's ugly about them is their systematic thuggishness

They are not ugly now but they've changed a lot. Prime Simeone's Atletico was unwatchable. Their games in CL were dreadful to watch.

I like Simeone's thug football though, his style is great because the matches are always intense. They can also string some good passes nowadays.

I still remember Simeone vs Mourinho game in the CL a few years ago, Atletico vs Chelsea semi final in Madrid, it was prime thug football, I don't think there was a goal chance all game long, Azpilicueta was playing as a winger. rofl

Atleti were Spain ugly, which means they were average in England and borderline attractive by Italian standards.
