They have consistently finished in top-four in last four seasons. What do you expect this season? How did they build the squad??? German League experts/connoisseurs please enlighten us.

Probably gonna be 3rd or 4th, don't see them pushing past Bayern or Dortmund, but they might outmuscle BMG.
Schalke should be legit contenders for top4, but will implode at some point in the season.

As I said in the BL thread, I predict them finishing 2nd in the league. They have great depth in forward positions with Chicharito in his prime, Bellarabi, Calhanoglu, Volland, Brandt, Kramp, Mehmedi

Baumgartlinger was a shrewd signing in midfield, partered with Bender/Aranguiz is fantastic.

In defense the younger players Tah, Jedvaj and Wendell are a year older and smarter while Toprak and Leno are top players.

Topped with a great coach in Schmidt I believe they have a lot of potential and can top Dortmund who have gotten significantly weaker since last season.

Volland was a great signing. I expect him to form a fantastic partnership with Chicharito.

Good bump. Leverkusen radiate some seriously strong vibe this season IMO. They've strengthened quite significantly, if subtly.

Will be interestong to see if they can find the consistency to mount a title challenge.

They have done that consistently (really funny, using consistency about Leverkusen Razz ) but eventually managed a decent (some would say impressive) position.

Leverkusen seem to work hard on stability. Now Karim Bellarabi and Wendell extended their contracts until 2021 (supposedly without release clauses). They got Kevin Volland, Drago (another pretty good Ex-Basel player who made it to the Bundesliga, even though he was a bit of an enfant terrible in Switzerland) and Julian Baumgartlinger, who are definitely strengthening them.

Additionally, they refused to sell Hakan Calhanoglu and Ömer Toprak.

They may have lost Chris Kramer, but Kramer never really fit in (Chris Kramer really loves Gladbach and since he's back, he is returning to his top level again), so they didn't lose any quality, but rather added to their quality.

I think they should be able to give a good account of themselves. I just hope that Gladbach will have the advantage this weekend as they already played 3 competitive matches, while Leverkusen only had the DFB-Pokal match so far.

So what do you expect from them this season, no seriously!!!

I don't suppose they have any major injury issues.

I guess they will be lucky to get into the EL, I'd say. Leverkusen might not suffer from many injuries, but they suffer from themselves as usual.
