Arsenal vs Man Utd
Man Utd: Manchester United will be missing Marouane Fellaini due to suspension, while Ashley Young has suffered a hamstring injury. Timothy Fosu-Mensah (shoulder) is a doubt and Marcus Rashford has been carrying a minor knock. Jose Mourinho has suggested he will rotate his squad.
Arsenal: Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka (calf) is a major doubt but defender Shkodran Mustafi has returned to training and goalkeeper David Ospina is fit.

Scouting report
THE MANAGER
Jose Mourinho’s first season at Old Trafford has seen Manchester United win the League Cup and reach the semi-finals of the Europa League. They’re also on a 25-match unbeaten Premier League run, although many of these have been draws – United’s 14 is by far the highest figure in the league. Mourinho has created a defensively solid side without creating an overwhelmingly defensive side.
FORMATION
Mourinho has tended to use a 4-2-3-1 system this season, although he’s rotated in the attacking midfield positions, where he’s still trying to find the right balance. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has led the line effectively this season, but he’s out for the campaign and Marcus Rashford provides a different threat, sprinting into the channels more which means United play more through-balls.
STRENGTHS
Only 25 goals conceded in 34 matches is an outstanding defensive record, and owes much to the solid shape of the side overall, rather than simply the performance of the back four. Sometimes United play without a natural holding midfielder, but Ander Herrera has adjusted his game impressively and shields the defence in a disciplined manner.
DANGERMAN
Some believe Paul Pogba has endured an underwhelming campaign, but the Frenchman has nevertheless commanded plenty of matches in a left-of-centre midfield role, and is capable of spraying brilliant passes into attack. Arsenal must shut him down quickly.
AREAS TO TARGET
Manchester United have struggled at centre-back recently, with Marcos Rojo out for the rest of the campaign, and Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly all suffering from injuries. Arsenal may look to target this weakness.

Re: Arsenal vs Manchester United (16/17)
United have all those injuries and fitness concerns and played Thursday night. They're 100% going to park because they simply won't have the energy for anything else.
This is all on us to actually turn up and do something.
Of course, with Coquelin and Giroud likely starting I can't see us doing anything worthwhile.

I hope we get something from the game, but for the reasons Jay said, I think you guys will actually turn up for this game and beat us soundly. Just a feeling. either 2-0 or 3-1.

Re: Arsenal vs Manchester United (16/17)
Rashford, Bailly, Valencia, Herrera(likely) might be rested for Thursday.
Expect something like this
ddg
Darmian-Smalling-Tuanzebe-Blind
Carrick-Pogba
Mkhi/Mitchell-Rooney-Mata
Martial
Not really fussed about the result tbh. Just want to avoid any injury here. Thursday's the big one.
Good luck guys

Re: Arsenal vs Manchester United (16/17)
Need to bring on Bellerin for Gibbs. Our left side is bascially dead with Gibbs offering nothing and Alexis playing a free role.

Re: Arsenal vs Manchester United (16/17)
That was a good performance, albeit against a United team with other priorities. Still nice to get a win over Mourinho though.
Win again on Wednesday and we'll only be 3 points off the top four.

Re: Arsenal vs Manchester United (16/17)
We need to improve our GD because this could end up being decided by goal difference which would be even more heart wrenching.

Re: Arsenal vs Manchester United (16/17)
Our hardest challenge is Stoke City and possibly Southampton. We must beat Stoke City at their place, there's no other way we reach top 4.Southampton vs Arsenal
Stoke City vs Arsenal
Arsenal vs Sunderland
Arsenal vs Everton
Middlesbrough will be relegated by time Liverpool play them, so our only hope is West Ham.West Ham vs Liverpool
Liverpool vs Middlesbrough
Watford will be easy peasy, but Leicester and West Brom could be tricky if they bother to turn up. I don't have faith in Man City bottling this.Man City vs Leicester

Re: Arsenal vs Manchester United (16/17)
city will get 3rd. its arsenal and Liverpool that will battle for 4th imo. I think Liverpool will take 4 points from the last 2 games but I think arsenal will drop points alsourbaNRoots wrote:Our hardest challenge is Stoke City and possibly Southampton. Yeah agree, Stoke will be up for it like the *bleep* they are. That is if we even manage to beat Southampton.
