Dani Proud

So happy for him, he had an absolute stellar debut for Alcorcon. Scored 1, assisted 1, and created another with an exquisite through ball.

Krisztian Nemeth is finally living up to his potential. 7 goals in 14 matches in Eredivisie this season. Very happy for him. Injuries ruined him, always had the talent.

Dirk Kuyt who became champion with Fenerbahce have an interview to Sabah newspaper.

"We will be champion and not only that Liverpool will be champion after long years as well,That's just a wonderful feeling.Been a while for them to win it again, but I want that championship mostly for Gerrard,he did deserve this"

Kuyt also mentioned he wishes to have a friendly match this summer against Liverpool with Fenerbahce. "It will probably me another special night for my career if it happens"

Remember these guys:

Nemeth is a free agent having been released by Roda.
Dani Pacheco has signed with Betis who just got relegated.
N'Gog is a free agent having been released by Swansea.
Morgan still at Yeovil Town where we sold him this past Jan.

Not looking forward to adding Borini, Yesil and Hodzic in this list.

Ex-Liverpool winger Albert Riera has been sacked by Italian club Udinese ... after going AWOL to play poker.

The Spain international, an £8million Kop buy from Espanyol in 2008, spent two seasons at the Reds. He has also had loan spells with Manchester City and Watford.

Riera, 32, joined Udinese earlier this year after a spell with Galatasaray of Turkey.

But the Serie A club’s bosses deemed him a busted flush after he skipped their recent clash with Chievo to play in a poker tournament in Slovenia - where he won £3,000 for a second-place finish.

And the Spaniard’s career truly hit the deck after he sent a tweet claiming Udinese were “the worst club I’ve ever played for”.

The Italians have now agreed that one-time ace Riera cannot hold’em to ransom any more - and cancelled his contract.

Uh-oh...

Was it worth it, play in a tournament where 2nd place finish wins you £3000, to get sacked from your surely-higher-paying job?

Kuyt has re-joined Feyenoord on a one-year deal. Nice to see him complete this circle. Here's hoping he helps them win the club's first Eredivisie title since 1999.
