Alleged texts between Scolari and Diego Costa claim that Costa is reluctant because "they like me more in Spain" - I wonder why Laughing

Scolari has stated publicly that he has offered DC the chance to be hexa-champion and now it's his turn to decide.

Allegedly rejected Brazil for Spain - what a clown Laughing

Although as I stated before, no true Brazilian would reject the opportunity to play a WC at home.

He's going to get booed in every match lol. Laughing

Hope my main man Negrito cock blocks him.

Tbh Scolari also has to take some blame. No idea how he called scrubs like Pato and Jo ahead of him.

It's a joke that Spain are after him so hard.
They have an Torres regaining form and Negredo who has done really well every chance he's had to play with the NT.

Diego Costa is a Spanish citizen who has never played an official match for Brazil. I can understand why people think this shouldn't go through, since he played for Brazil earlier in the year, but in the end it's a personal decision. The only thing FIFA could do is to make senior level friendlies binding.

Still, he rejected Brazil rofl rofl rofl

Personally the country of your birth or the country you were bred in should always take priority.

If your birth country wants you to play for them as well as adopted country there should be a rule which states you have to play for said birth country.

If the birth country don't get involved then ok.

Maybe i'm looking at it in too narrow way and bit too old fashioned.... bit this seems ridiculous to me.

You're confusing "unofficial" with "competitive". Rolling Eyes

The friendlies he played in against Italy and Russia are official games.

Diego Cost surely doesn't know how to sing the Spanish national anthem.

He probably doesn't feel Spanish either.

Most definitely will go back to Brazil once he retires (like Deco) to live the rest of his life in his home country.

He is Brazilian. I don't care if he has a Spanish passport. Almost every Argentine has an Italian, Spanish or German passport, does that make us suddenly feel not Argentine? Laughing

Perhaps he thought he would be more successful if he played for Spain seeing as there's a real lack of good Spanish strikers atm.

Funny thing is none of us Espanoles even want him to play for us. We are a relatively open-minded peninsula yet there was a difference between Senna and Costa. Senna actually embraced Spanish culture since 2002, learned the anthem, spoke our language better than Spaniards themselves. He felt Spanish.

Costa on the other hand is a disgusting thug and cheat who hasn't shown any of the traits of an Espanole nor the desire to wear our shirt, outside the reason of our recent successes.

Most of us don't even want this vile thug to play under Del Bosque for many and obvious reasons.

Rather actually have Torres, Llorente, Cesc (F9) and Negredo over him.

I would say he should, but that's not the case now.
I don't know full on history of giu so I can't really comment.

But is there any tie of Costa to Spain aside from being there a certain amount of time? Was it his birthplace, are either of his parents from Spain, hell even his grandparents? Because if there no other ties aside from living there....

Re: Diego Costa

Post by Hawky on Tue Oct 29, 2013 8:21 pm

Why all the fuss?

Camoranesi, Pepe, Deco, Senna all spring to mind and could have all comfortably secured a place in their native country's NT, yet opted otherwise. Hell, Camoranesi even won the World Cup with Italy.

The stupid thing is FIFA's rule - I was 100 % certain that once a player is capped for a national side, he cannot switch it, friendly or competitive match.

Diego Costa is now trolling Scolari, I'm not sure he would be a starter for Spain. Also, if he only plays a friendly for Spain, can he then be called up by Brazil for the World Cup? :coffee:
