Real Madrid vs Juventus discussion

Post by halamadrid2 on Tue Oct 22, 2013 9:48 am

Everybody are back in training which is positive.

Also Marca saying Carlo tried a Khedira-Illaramendi-Modric midfield in training. Hopefully khedira can build on his game vs Malaga and not revert back to the buffoon he was earlier this season

Juve will most likely sit back and counter us especially now that Vidal is a doubt/not fully fit. it is very important we don't lose concentration because if they get the first goal we are doomed

I swear I am going to kill someone if carlo starts Arbeloa over Carvajal. We need the width and thats what Carvajal gives us not Arbeloa

Real Madrid probable line up:

Iker
Carvajal-Pepe-Ramos-Marcelo
Khedira-Illarramendi-Modric
DiMaria-Benzema-Ronaldo

Juve probable line up:

Buffon

Barzagali-Bonucci-Chiellini
Padoin/Pogba-Vidal-Pirlo-Marchisio-Asamoah
Tevez
Llorente

lets do this

Isco should start over Khedira/Illarramendi. Hopefully Varane's fit to take Pepe's spot.

Can't see Carvajal starting unfortunately.

I think even with Juve's poor form, it could easily be a tough game. It's a big game and they could turn up. When was the last time we performed in a big game that wasn't against a weak Barca? Hopefully Ancelotti's a big game manager.

Tactically we need to make sure we press properly and the possession is good.

Possession ? We should play what we do best. Fast transition + high pressure. Modric Khedira Ilarramendi is a midfield that can retain the ball very fast and Ronaldo is at his best on the counter. Let Juve have the ball.

Isco to play instead of Illaramendi Laughing he can't even do his job properly forget the spot occupying the place just above the cbs and below the other two cms

Carvajal SHOULD play because not only is he a better attacker than Arbeloa but he is a better defender period.

I wonder what mt will say if we beat Juve 5-0. probably that we could only beat them because they were weak and we need to wait for the proper big teams.

anyways our line up should hopefully be clearer after carlos presser today

Modric being rested means he will start, most probably instead of Isco. Di Maria and Ronaldo will start in attack alongside Benzema. The only spots which are not clear, are RB and CB. Carvajal/Arbeloa and Varane/Pepe.

expected :

Casillas
Arbeloa Varane Ramos Marcelo
Illarra
Khedira Modric
Di Maria Benzema Ronaldo

Bale, Isco and Morata to come later in the 2nd half.

Vidal is likely hurt. Also, Pogba starts for sure since he's their only mid that can defend a bit.

Juve parks the bus in away CL games. That's what we should expect.

You must be joking. Marchisio is way better defensively than Pogba. He's on the same level with Vidal when it comes to defending, though their style are different.

I think Vidal will be playing

Rumours of a formation change too considering the 3-5-2 seems to have been figured out.

I don't know what you're watching. Benzema is being invisible as usual.

Just compare him to Llorente, who has been a million times more active.

He didn't see much of the ball but  he did fine when he had it.

our problem is the coward coach on the bench not Benz.

Possession football my arse. Carlo is just like Mou. i don't care if we score 5 more in second half. you don't play with 3 DM's in bernabeu.

It's Carlo's fault that Benzema doesnt have a clue about movement without the ball? If he doesnt put himself in good positions it's normal thaf he won't receive it.

PS: none of Sami, Illarra and Modric are DM
