Ancelotti pre match:

"Be careful with this game because after stoppages selections have had problems. Tomorrow will be the same and the team is ready for this, it will not be an easy game. Especially since the Almería is doing well, has won three straight. Have confidence, motivation and has coached the past 15 days with no problems heading into this encounter. I think the mentality of the players is good. All are concentrated for tomorrow's game. It is true that everyone has come happy, happy to play the World Cup. Psychologically it's good. It's just a problem of recovery and injury. "

Prediction:

Almeria 0-1 Real Madrid.

Ronaldo's injury and being substituted:

"It was a precaution," he told the club's official website. "It was nothing special. They gave me a kick in the first half and I felt the muscle was a bit stiff."

Real manager Carlo Ancelotti did not appear to be overly concerned but revealed the full extent of the injury will be confirmed on Sunday.

"I don't think it is serious because he is not in pain. It is a muscle strain so I hope he will be fine soon," said Ancelotti after the game.

"Tomorrow there will be more tests, but we don't think it is a big problem."

He shouldn't start in the UCL. Sub him on at around 60min, we need him fresh for the coming games.

Agreed. We have top spot guaranteed in CL. We should rest him for that game

As for the game Shocked best team performance this season and the first time we have won by over one goal away this season. onwards and upwards it is

Casemiro looked like he had been playing every game this season when he was subbed on. Nothing rusty about him at all. Hope he gets more game time

we should test Casemiro-Illara-Isco/Modric vs Gala and see how we fair. Since Alojso doesn't look like renewing we might as well prepare for life without him in dead rubber games such as this one

Calma pls. Almeria's defense was a joke. I laughed how the defender didn't even try to stop the ball Laughing
