Re: Arsenal Lobby
Yea pretty straight forward article.
Arteta might not be WC or even technically amazing. He was one of the main reasons we got trashed by Liverpool and Chelsea last year. But he is still the only player we can actually depend on in most games. Either way we need a DM but having no Arteta is considerably worse than having Arteta.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
I don't agree that Arteta was at fault for our big losses last year. That's totally on Arsene Wenger being incompetent as a manager.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Well it wasn't just Arteta. Was being a bit harsh there. But the midfield imbalance was one of the biggest reasons along with a terrible shape.

Giroud missed 2 good chances to change the games, I think had he score the we could have had a better game.

Szczesny's dad doing his bit to endear Szczesny to the Arsenal fans by claiming that Mertesacker turns like a rhinoceros and that Szczesny isn't getting any support.

This, after Szcz already distanced himself from his father's view in an earlier episode.
Btw, that article was such wonderful journalism From fourth estate to gossip mongering - oh how the standards have fallen.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
The Spain midfielder has featured 20 times this season and produced his finest performances in December, scoring all four of his league goals.
Cazorla has also created 47 chances for his team-mates – a figure only Alexis Sanchez can better.
“I always try to make goals,” Cazorla told Arsenal Player. “It’s important for me because I am a midfielder and I always want to help the team score, and I will try to make more before the end of the season.
“I have more space [in the middle], more possibilities to score and assist, and I like this position very much. I always can help the team and I love when I play in the middle.”
Cazorla’s displays saw him voted Vitality Player of the Month for December by Arsenal fans, and he also picked up the PFA Fans’ award.
“I can only give thanks to the fans for voting for me,” the midfielder said. “I’m very happy when I play at home, so thanks for the support.
“I want to continue to play at this level for the rest of the season. I always want to help the team with goals. I hope to score more until the end of the season. It’s very important for me and the team.”

Alexis is just 8 off of that number, Welbeck would need to start centrally game in and game out for a while to get 9 more though.

Michael Cox on Alexis
http://www.espnfc.us/blog/tactics-and-analysis/67/post/2245025/sergio-aguero-and-alexis-sanchez-are-dominating-the-premier-league-in-very-different-ways
At Udinese, he specialised as a No. 10 in a counter-attacking side; at Barcelona, he was a wide forward in a possession-based side, and for Chile, he was a false nine in a heavy pressing side. Three different positions, three different types of football. It's no surprise he can't be pigeonholed as a particular type of attacker, which means he's probably the Premier League's best all-round forward. In a 4-2-3-1 system, you could conceivably play Sanchez in all four attacking positions -- few others are capable of that.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Arsenal hold prices for next season
Arsenal Football Club has announced it will not be making any ticket price increases next season. This will be the sixth season since the move to Emirates Stadium 10 seasons ago that prices have been held.
Chief executive Ivan Gazidis said: “We have fantastic support with all our home games selling out week after week, year after year.
"The Arsenal board, as always, works to strike a balance between the expense of coming to games for our supporters and the club’s ever-increasing costs and expenditure as it develops on and off the pitch.”
Arsenal will continue offering a wide range of discounted tickets for young fans and for the Capital One Cup. This can amount to as many as 300,000 tickets from as little as £5.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Daily Mirror says Coquelin will be offered a new contract for impressing Arsene Wenger with his form and attitude since returning from Charlton.
I've always liked him and thought he had a place in the squad but maybe we should wait just a little longer before we tie him down to a new deal. He's looked great but there's no reason to rush it when we'll have more time to judge him especially tomorrow (granted, if he stays as a squad player he most likely wouldn't be playing the top teams often).

I'm gonna leave this here:
http://northlondonisred.co.uk/walcott-im-better-than-henry-bergkamp-pele-and-jesus/
Don't be fooled by the title. It's a dig at the shoddy attention-grabbing attempt by the Mirror today.
What I particularly liked was the stats about goals scored in the piece. Go have a read, you would be left with a somewhat more optimistic feeling.
