My co-worker had a period of severe memory lapses, caused by the medication he was prescribed when he was recovering from a car crash. He later said he wasn't sure what was worse - the crash or the memory loses from the meds.

Arsene doing a Diamond Club Q&A. All the quotes via DarrenArsenal1 on twitter

Arsene doing Diamond Club Q&A now has just said that Paulista deal virtually done, then tried to backtrack after giving too much away

Arsene "Biggest regret not the last few years but the invincibles era not winning more trophies"

Arsene has said "will go upstairs when retires but has to ensure can distance himself far enough from manager" which club not mentioned

Arsene "Man city have successfully legally got around FFP with good advice" DiamondQ&A

Arsene says Ozil, Walcott to start Sunday. Possibly Akpom

Arsene "Secret dream is that CL is possible if we get luck of draw"

Arsene "We need to ensure team has a solid defence"

Arsene "People always refer to defence I inherited but Lauren ,Toure, Cole and Campbell never got me or them the credit they deserved"

Arsene "Many times thought Coquelin wouldnt make so you never know"

He also spoke of how proud he was re R Madrid in 2006 not scoring in 2 games against us.

Arsene also spoke about Cesc "Regret with fabregas is that he has made them better (CFC)" Went onto say that on Cesc he had Ozil,Aaron,Wilshere Etc but had 48hrs to decide.....

......He had no plans to sell anybody, but would have had to if he'd have chosen to sign him

Would be excellent if Wenger becomes a director at the club after he retires. Our board needs more football-people to ensure that the on-pitch future is as looked after as the off-pitch future.

None of them. I prefer each of those 3 to a deserting ex-captain.

I don't get how it was only 48h to decide, when we had first refusal and any other deal can then only happen once we decide and convey that we have no intention of using that clause.

Anyway, no use debating it now. What's (not) done is (not) done.

I dont know why we had to sell any of them?

Diaby,Arteta, Flamini, Podolski out and Cesc in.

Ozil, Ramsey, Jack, Cesc. Theo Sanchez, Santi. Who cares about DM? Rolling Eyes Very Happy

Debuchy------Mert---Kos------Gibbs
Theo------Cesc-------Ramsey------Ozil
------------------Sanchez
-----------------Giroud.

Jack, Santi, Oxlade coming off the bench.

How much do you think we'd make selling Diaby, Arteta, Flamini and Podolski to cover an unnecessary move for Fabregas?

Probably £1million, a couple of Poldi's "AHA!" hats and four Snickers bars.

I'm not upset about not bringing him back, I'm upset that the money we have available wasn't properly and thoroughly reinvested in the squad. The fact that it's him making Chelsea better isn't a great feeling but if I could go back and change something it wouldn't be to bring him here, it would be to sign a DM and CB in the summer.

Fabregas can't play in any of those roles. It's not just about selling players you don't find contributing enough, but you know that. We'd've have been treated to more 8-2, 7-3, 6-3, 6-0, 5-0 scorelines, with us scoring the fewer of the goals with that line up.

This debate wouldn't exist if Fabregas wasn't doing so well for Chelsea. I still get Chelsea fans at uni asking me why we didn't sign him, and my answer to them has been the same every time, except now I can say that Santi is amazing.

In other news, apparently we could have signed Di Maria when he was 17 but for work permit issues. Just think of the money we missed out on by never having the opportunity to sell him to Real Madrid.

I am sure if the work permit problems weren't there, wenger would have found a lot of gems for Madrid/City etc.

But then that can go for other top clubs too.

Fabregas is better than Wilshere and that's the heartfelt truth.

Wilshere hasn't stabbed us in the back to leave yet though.
