Looks like we finally got rid of it, really hoping everyone stays in form when Messi gets back!

This is ignoring the fact that Neymar has missed his fair share of good chances, too. Neymar could easily be up there with Pedro and Sanchez.

Anyway, I've said it repeatedly, we won't know until we face bigger fish without Messi, but I'm delighted with the spread of goalscoring this year.

Messi is 3 players in one. super scorer+super creator+super dribbler and attention drawer. No player can replace these qualities. So Messi dependance always will be there as soon as big games come

Its possible to replace lazy Messi (when he walks and only uses his scoring ability). This usually happens in easy games. So in these games you can replace him and he will not be missed much

But nobody can replace hungry Messi. Things he did against Madrid in past years only he could do

Messi is irreplaceable obviously but that's not the point. Last season absolutely no one stepped up in the attack. This season all of Neymar, Alexis and Pedro are delivering. With Messi coming back we will have 2 forwards sitting on the bench who will deserve to start. That's 08/09-esque if not better.

When was the last time something like this happened?

With Messi Barca led the league 3 points, without it's now even, in CL Barca won one and lost one game against 10 men teams without him. But I think this two months break did good for Messi, and the other forwards particularly. Couldn't be more excited of the spring.

Messi will start against Getafe according to sport. Neymar out of the squad replaced with a flu replaced by Xavi who should have been rested [Xavi stay on bench anyway, he needs to be fresh to face Atletico].
