As always, midfield looks very promising but the defence sucks.

Defensively they are all over the place, it's amateurish at times. That liverpool player basically walked past 5 players and none of the managed to even foul him

Bielik looks very ordinary tbh. Always see him lauded for his passing but he can barely play an accurate pass out.

The recruitment at that level is a joke, though. Jeff and Bennacer look really good, Willock we know is good, Dragomir is meant to be very talented as well. Then you look at the def and see two midfielders playing there plus De Graca and Pileas who aren't anywhere near good enough. Nevermind the keeper situation.

Tbh I thought Jonker would give our academy a face-lift but the people he's brought in haven't done a good job. Gatting is dated, De Kat did a poor job with the u18s.

PSG have dominated the ball for large spells but Arsenal made a couple of excellent chances they should have taken. PSG getting more shots in goal now though. About 20 mins to go.

Defence is having a decent. Keto has been very good in goal. Midfield (McGuane, Da Silva and Nelson) has been poor, though. Malen and Mavididi have barely touched the ball. Chris Willock has been impressive though.

No Bielik, Maitland-Niles, Zelalem, Jeff, Willock or Akpom in tonight's U23 squad. Suggests they'll be involved in the EFL Cup game against Forest tomorrow night.
