Well it's all coming from this one Swedish paper, who knows how reliable it is. They even say it comes down to "anecdotal evidence."

@bbcsport_david: Kallstrom suffered back injury in first #afc training session - being assessed. Understood reports of 2-3 months out inaccurate

I think our players should stop training in between matches and stop playing during matches. That should cut down injuries by at LEAST 20% imho.

Apparently he already had the injury and it wasn't picked up in training.

Injured on his first day Very Happy

Was looking forward to seeing him in a sprint against Sterling, but I guess that'll never happen now smoking

But how do you sign an injured player as cover for injured players?

it's not a major injury, it will only keep him out for about the time he's supposed to be covering for Flamini or Ramsey  rofl

oh dear, any substantial reports yet?

We were hoping he was the next Yossi. What if he's the next Park: an out-of-nowhere signing who plays a grand total of, like, six minutes?

Run through Google Translate:

He was the big surprise during the transfer window deadline.

However, according to anecdotal evidence to Sportbladet Kim Källström's dream has been destroyed.

He is reported to be away for two-three months.

Arsenal were reported negotiate with Schalke about Julian Draxler, 20, and according to British media was a business close. The German club reportedly wanted to have 400 million for Draxler, but manager Arsene Wenger turned down a move.

Instead, it became a lending business with Kim Kallstrom - a dream fled for the 31-year old Swedish landslagsmannen.

However, according to anecdotal evidence to Sportbladet have midfielder riding on a setback. According to sources, Kallstrom injuries incurred at the first training with Arsenal and could be away for two-three months.

You have to say though, seeing that Schalke want 400m for Draxler it's good that Wenger decided not to go for it eventually.

David Ornstein has tweeted some more updates:

Clarification - Kallstrom out for at least 6 games with back injury found in medical before signing. Not done in training

Kallstrom injured his back on Tuesday while playing football on a beach during Spartak's pre-season tour in Abu Dhabi

Kallstrom informed Arsenal of discomfort on arrival at club on Fri - MRI scan showed no damage, CT scan found back injury

Arsenal medical team gave Wenger the prognosis but it was decided Kallstrom would still sign & undergo rehabilitation with #afc

If Wenger knew about his injury then why did he sign him? Wenger makes everything so complicated lol.

6 games is 3 weeks -.-

We signed an injured player to be injured and probably not be back before Jack or Rozza or even frigging Flamini -.-

Look at the bright side, better players like Oxlade-Chamberlain and Rosicky get to play in midfield instead, until Jack comes back.

So what now? the player who was not going to play a minute is not going to play a minute?

Are people actually believe Wenger would rotate for a this guy?

Wenger brought him in so he can get more Swedish women at the games. cheers

Nah, Wenger loaned to give Diaby company. I guess the rest of our injured no longer wanted to be around Diaby thinking is condition might be contagious.
