if you've got the cash buy them (digital or hard copy). Support good comics so the industry realizes that the audience actually knows the difference and doesn't keep pumping out crap (like the CURRENT Guardians of the Galaxy run).

Yeah I do buy most of the comics. I download those that I read before but lost or torn the hardcopy (been reading comics since I was like 5). My cousin had a massive collection of Marvel and DC and I inherited his nerdness.

Actually Nu52 has done quite well for DC overall (for better or worse ). Sales jumped notably and a number of the series have sustained that.

Marvel are in the middle of a lot of character redesigns/changes and DC seem to be following suit.

GL, Flash, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and others all undergoing varying degrees of change from simple costume redesigns to complete shifts in story direction.

Doubt it, he's legit insane. Would think superman would be more worthy, or even Dick. Maybe Barry somewhat.

Barry is a good one. But he is selfish in a sense that he would save his mother from dying without considering the consequences.

Wonder Woman and Hal Jordan seems worthy enough though.

Hal Jordan was in that Movie from 2011 that disqualifies him.
Is Injustice canon superman though? What about Jihn Stewart, seems like a great guy, don't know much about him though. Only seen him in animation

Every single character in Injustice is/was insane though, so its rather nonsensical to use it as a basis for judging. That said, a part of what makes Thor worthy to wield the hammer is his warrior's spirit... his willingness to take necessary actions in battle. If anything, by that measure, Supes would not be worthy due to his (generally present) strict policy against killing.

Why are we using a shitty movie as a means of judging a character's in-universe worthiness? As a character Hal probably isn't worthy as it takes more than just strong willpower and Hal has had some significant issues of his own (like becoming a villain that very nearly destroyed the entire main DC universe).

Of all DC's characters, Wonder Woman is perhaps the most worthy and most likely to be able to wield Mjölnir.




All of that said, at the end of the day it would come down to what the authors needed to happen. Mjölnir's qualifications for lifting/wielding are a plot device like everything else, and vary depending on what the creators need for the story they want to tell.

Just thought it would be interesting to weight up the DC characters who can lift it according to the criteria.

The big issue you're going to run into with DC heroes is the part I mentioned already: part of being worthy is having the true warrior's spirit which includes being willing and able to take life in the proper circumstances. Showing unnecessary mercy or hesitating would rule you out, and in general DC heroes tend to be far more reluctant to kill than their Marvel counterparts.

At DC’s retailer roadshow at Orlando yesterday, the assembled crowd were told a story about the original plans for the 2011 Flashpoint event from DC Comics.

The event from 2011 saw the DC Universe reality change, Age Of Apocalypse style, and the DC books replaced by twisted parallel dimensional versions, before the New 52 relaunch that soft rebooted DC continuity.

Originally,  Flashpoint was supposed to do what Convergence is doing now, becoming a holding place, a band aid, for books during the originally planned move of DC Comics from New York to Burbank, which was then delayed until 2015. At the end of Flashpoint, the books were originally going to continue as normal without the reboot, and Multiversity was intended to be born from Final Crisis.
