FIFA 15 discussion

Post by Onyx on Fri Mar 07, 2014 3:33 pm

What are your ideas for FIFA 15?

General:

They need to fix the auto high pressure. Only teams who do it in real life should be able to do it successfully for 90 mins.

Give top players unique movement. Like Alonso has a unique running style, movement etc. So does Di Maria, Pepe etc.

The ability to randomly choose a team in online friendlies.

EPL and La Liga should have different chants for when goals are scored. EPL is a 'yehhhhhhhh', while La Liga is more of a roar cheer.

New tactical interface with advanced tactics.

Career mode:

Realistic transfer funds for every club and realistic player values. There's no way Benzema would go for 19m in real life.

Being able to bid for players before July.

Test a player out in arena prior to buying him.

Calling up players from Castilla/Barca B, if you're playing as Real Madrid/Barca, instead of having to buy them.

Youth squads/reserve squads.

Teams should play like they do in real life, so realistic CPU. CPU teams should also be more smarter with transfers.

Choosing optional pre season fixtures/tour - e.g. U.S. tour, Emirates Cup etc.

Career mode financial strictness, transfer frequency, wages etc - a 'realistic' setting.

Training sessions.

Being able to edit kits every season.

Buyout clauses/buy back clauses/other clauses/addons.

Old players shouldn't always decline after 30.

Being able to watch players play when scouting them.

Players should flop and their ratings should decrease.

Players values should be higher and transfer budgets should be bigger. Maybe a feature to ask the chairman to buy you a player and it wouldn't count from your budget.

More in depth manager relationship with the board.

Player presentations and better press conferences.

Being able to use career mode team in online friendly matches.

New transfer budget in January.

Pro clubs:

Custom kits, badges and custom AI players that can be upgraded.

Training arena, so you can have a kickabout with teammates. Also skill games with teammates.

Friendly/unranked matches.

A CM position.

An option to face teams with a certain amount of players. The minimum would be the amount your team has at the time.

More player hairstyles, facial hair and customisation.

Real stadiums/customisable stadiums.

Custom formations that can be set in lobby by any.

Players who arrive late to lobby and the match has already started can be subs in game.

New clubs menu/layout.

If other clubs members are offline, you should still be able to use them as part of the starting lineup.

The ability to choose a position for your pro when you're the any.

CPU shouldn't be clumsy and auto high pressure should be limited.

Re: FIFA 15 discussion

Post by Tomwin Lannister on Fri Mar 07, 2014 7:11 pm

I know thousands of problems that should be fixed, i'm gonna be adding to my list every couple of days when I remember things I hate.

I'll start off with some obvious, major ones

Pressing, it's ridiculous. If you try to use your midfield for more than flashes online, you get screwed

Corner defending, the way that you either don't lock on, or do lock on but still don't react is disgusting. Results in a disgustingly high frequency of corners ending in goals

Pro clubs, it needs to be like other game modes. Why they purposely made it more sluggish is ridiculous.

Every attacking pro you face has the stats of Messi (The ones that matter anyway) yet the defence and all the other players feel like you're playing with a league 2 team with the sliders set down.

Tackles/deflections. It still amazes me how you can make 5 or 6 tackles in a row, only for each and every time the ball to fly off somebodys shins and send the opposition through on goal. The amount of goals that happen due to a bad physics engine is way too high to be normal

Online. 5 at the back. Take it out, people abuse it. Because the AI obviously don't get caught out of position the advantages of 'parking the bus' are just ridiculous

As a result, over 80% of your opponents use formations that in real life simply do not work most of the time.

Stamina, needs a huge rework on pro clubs. Box 2 box mids should have great stamina, strikers should NOT be able to run for 90 minutes back and forward, back and forward.

Goalkeepers are fine at saving normal shots, but as soon as it's a header they just turn to stone. It could be crawling past the line, instead of the GK shuffling his feet and diving, he just stays put then makes some timid, half-assed dive. Too many headed goals happen for this reason and the poor reactions/lock ons from defenders.

You guys have got most of it spot on and it'd be awesome to have them in the game. But I've grown tired of harboring expectations year after year.

EA has the ability to introduce all those new elements to improve the game immensely but they'd rather bring about changes gradually being this is an yearly series. I doubt we'd ever get a near perfect game. Ever.

An online career mode sounds like a decent idea too. You basically just join a league, then compete to buy players with other players, then play them etc. The league would have to have a minimum amount of players in order to start.

You would have to play the fixtures by a certain date, if you don't they automatically get simulated.

Frequency of headed goals is plain annoying. It's like 50-50 between attacker and defender who wins the header, although in real life defenders have the edge (unless you're playing against Andy Carroll).

Problem is every team automatically plays narrow on FIFA 14, which means people are forced to cross. Whenever you have the ball on one wing, there will be a massive gap on the other side of the pitch.

Pretty much

Clubs doesn't make money, therefore they haven't even fixed GLITCHES

Such as, if you press X instead of O at the 'tournament tree' window in cup mode, your pro goes down several ratings for one game

It's just mind-numbingly stupid.

Most important thing, by far, is toning down crossing and heading. Plus significantly improving the lock on system so defenders always lock on to balls near them and actually jump when you tell them to

If they don't fix this, more and more people will just abuse wing play

Also, no more rewarding people for hoofing it 24/7 with pin point through balls. Your average scrub shouldn't be able to pull off Pirlo-esque passes.

Re: FIFA 15 discussion

Post by Onyx on Thu Jun 05, 2014 12:28 pm

Nerf the pace.

Every player shouldn't be able to pull off perfect lob through balls.

Nerf crossing/headers.

Make technical players/players without pace more effective. Alonso, Modric, Pirlo, Iniesta, Messi etc.

Why does every single team have the ability to press like prime Barca non stop for 90 mins every game? Nerf the pressing.

Make the pitch bigger maybe.

Make it so the game relies on football knowledge. Make it more realistic and more of a simulation.

Make possession play more effective.

Implement a new comprehensive and thorough tactical interface.

Also fix all of this:

1. Remove custom set pieces. Why is it when you mark someone during a normal corner you outhead them, yet when you mark someone from a custom set piece they outhead you?

2. Have defenders automatically track every runner.

3. Defenders have such poor ball control which leads to goals being conceded. Needs to be fixed.

4. Why is there always a massive gap in between your midfield and defense? Why is not possible to have your lines close just like teams do in real life. Especially from throw ins near the box, they always get a free shot due to the gap.

5. Why there always an opposition player free outside the box when a corner gets headed out?

6. Players sometimes can't control simple passes. Needs to be fixed.

7. Why do players just stand there when a player is running towards the box? They should try and get in the way and block shots etc.

8. When you have the ball, the players movement should be much better. They should move into good positions to receive the ball, depending on their positioning stat. Most of the time they usually just stand there.

9. Why do GK's crouch when running for the ball that's about to cross the line? Due to the crouching it slows them down and you can't prevent a corner/GK etc.

Seriously thinking about trying PES15 this year. I am tired of Fifa. I am tired of the same issues since fifa12.

I admit I am a poor/average player and I can't act like a twat and use Madrid all the time on seasons to abuse Ronaldo's 99 interceptions, tackling etc. But I am really sick of how awful the physics engine is. They don't even try to improve.

I'll probably end up buying it anyways but I will see how the PES reviews are. If it's higher than fifa then I'll jump the ship this year.
