Agreed. I love all things Mario, and donkey kong. But playstation is my priority due to the fact they release most of the games I like not to mention the online aspect.

Then there's the odd xbox exclusive that I want. But it's far too expensive to keep up.

Ganon was one mean mofo, i liked the tweaks to his moveset in Brawl. Made him a bit more distinguished imo, his normal attacks shouldn't be underestimated too. Dat elbow ffs

I never liked the slow characters, to be honest. The only exception where I preferred a slower character to a faster one was my preference for Roy over Marth in Melee.

Agreed on the console exclusives thing.

I have long despised them and wish every console could get anything.... i know it would never happen but still.

I'm still going to get the console most likely as i'm interested in Mario Kart, DK, Smash Bros, Super Mario and some other stuff they have.... plus i never played Wind Waker in my life so i'm interested in the recent HD remake.

But i understand that most people are not interested in all of those games.

As for the big characters, i used to feel that way but after a while i learnt how to use them effectively and i enjoy them now.

I still enjoy flying around with the quick characters who are able to stop and pop like MetaKnight among others though.

Only if they hit you... they're so slow you can usually avoid most of them with a quick character.

I just wish we could see the likes of Crash Bandicoot, Ratchet, and others (*cough* Cole MacGrath *cough*) in a SSB game that is available across consoles. I really couldn't care less about most exclusives though as the vast majority tend to fall into categories I'm not terribly interested in.

If all games were on all consoles then companies like Nintendo would just disappear and get bought up; watch their IPs be sold off to be used and abused by soulless corporations like Activision and EA. Just look at what they did Spyro.

Just look at what MS did to Banjo. Can't even imagine what would happen to Mario and Zelda with other companies controlling them.

I'd say things right now aren't that great because there isn't enough diversity between all the systems...There are soo many multiplats right now companies rather than investing money into new games just invest in "exclusive DLC" and all that nonsense. Charge to play online to force people to only play games on this system because people aren't going to want to pay to play on both...MS and Sony have become too relient on multiplat titles to push sales with only a few exclusive titles worth a toss coming each year at the most, and cashing in on yearly online subscriptions which is just 100% profit.

If there were more exclusives for each system and if they didn't charge just to play online for absolutely no reason other than to collect free money and force a sense of commitment on consumers, I think more people would be willing to have multiple systems and be able to play games extensively across them. There used to be a time when fans of certain consoles would compare the games each console had.. Now its comparing service and features and OSs and blablablabla...Big companies cutting corners in not establishing unique identity and libraries is causing a problem.. Just get Activision and EA to rerelease whatever sold the most copies last year and keep doing that till nobody buys it anymore

Online gaming has just brought about a slew of problems and laziness from the console makers, because they are just abusing their consumers and not putting much effort back into establishing their console as something with an identity, with memorable exclusive games and characters.. Just exclusive "services"..

So when a great exclusive game does come along every now and then, people want it on the other system because there is barely enough to justify owning multiple systems.

I'm beginning to think that Online has just ruined console gaming and I just wish that it stayed on PC where it belongs anyway (doubt anyone will agree with that though lol)
