No excuse to lose this one. Pedantic fears of Norwich's desperation in their relegation battle do not convince me as tactically they are poor and offer very little that can trouble us outside our own possible complacency which can serve to be our worst enemy.

Suarez will be an obvious mention yet CH sacked will leave a tactical advantage for their interim in understanding that they will be an unknown quantity. Result of Sturridge out will force Suarez advanced on the shoulder yet Sterling recently performing central can provide the central presence that Sturridge's absence will produce.

Won't accept anything else than a win here.

Even the Heavenly Powers have taken an interest in our title surge. Quiet a few unexpected and rather pleasing twists in last few weeks. Off-course we can commit sacrilege by shooting ourselves in the foot. But don't think Kolo will get that chance.

There was this guy called Sterling out there, too.

For me, this Lucas - Gerrard - Allen midfield isn't really working out. Lucas is way too stationary for that advanced role and isn't good at playing it forward from there. We're struggling too much to pass it out of defence. Allen's been doing fine, though, but most of the time we need Sterling or Coutinho to drop deep to collect the ball to get an attack going.

Anyway, 2 - 0 up at HT, so overall it's looking good!

The three points come with us!

But we made it more difficult than was needed. Let's put it this way that if we perform like that in our final away match against Palace, we should be looking at a defeat.

Norwich were all over us in the 2nd half and it was as I feared that going from Henderson - Gerrard - Coutinho to Lucas - Gerrard - Allen was too drastic a change. Never got really going. Luckily we had Sterling to bail us out.

Lucas was easily our worst player. I'm angry with him, because he looked like he didn't even put in the effort. Just walking and jogging about, contributing next to nothing to our in-possession play. He can play like that in that holding midfielder role, but not in that more advanced role. If he doesn't realise that, he shouldn't play anywhere else but in that holding role, i.e., shouldn't play if Gerrard is playing. Simply an awful, awful performance.

Am I the only one thinking Mignolet is making a little too many mistakes? :/
Totally at fault for that first goal.

But that Raheem lad, what a player.

The table's looking good!

Henderson in that Lucas role and we would have been running riots.

But i don't take it away from Lucas, He made some great tackles.

Allen MOM?

Had he given us a better midfield outlet to control the game, we wouldn't have needed to do so much defending (Lucas tackling).

How is nobody mentioning the fact that Norwich were beyond lucky to finish with 10 men on the pitch, let alone 11? Should've been a straight red to Snodgrass after 15 minutes, one of the worst tackles I've seen in months (and far worse than Henderson's ever was), Turner could've had a second yellow on three different occasions, and there were another 3-4 fouls which could've been yellows for Norwich which the ref let slide. Absolutely shocking display from Norwich in the tackle and a total shocker from the ref today.

I don't care how shit we looked today, it's impossible to string together 2 passes when the opposing team goes in two footed and are trying to injure your players on every *bleep* pass.

I don't know why Mignolet tried to catch that ball when Skrtel and Sakho were pretty balanced in the air up to that moment, cleaning all the crosses. Mignolet really has hard time with crosses.

I hope Sturridge is back for Chelsea game so Coutinho can go back to his role and we can bench Lucas until he sorts out his shit.

Johnson was much worser than Lucas. The amount of crosses they put in without any pressure from our right side was ridiculous .

Their second goal Johnson just stood watching the Norwich player put in a cross rather than trying to cut it out.

Exactly how we played against Stoke earlier in the season. Also have to give credit to Norwich i suppose. At 2-0 down they really gave a good go .

Norwich had just conceded a single goal in 2014 at home and both City and Spurs drew blank. So definitely a hard place to go along with New manager bounce as well. Was dreading this tbh.Definitely much difficult than Crystal palace away imo

Massive 3 points.Just 7 away from glory  drinking

Still cant believe how far we have come this season

We had 1 win in 9 games in all competitions at one stage.

But please, tell me how Sterling isn't good enough to be playing for a team that's aspiring for a top 4 push and how Henderson on the right side is much more benefitial.  Embarassed
