What are your expectations of the team this season?

So we have finished the first half of the season and are just entering the nitty gritty matches that can shape up the rest of our season.

So what do you think the aim should be this season?? We are in a good position in all competitions. Which is a good starting point I suppose

should it be to win it all??
will you be satisfied with the Copa only or the league only??
if we didn't win anything but came very close in all competitions and tournaments what would you think??

I think it would be very interesting so see what other thought. Give a reason to what you think

personally I would be happy with the league plus a final in Copa and semi final in the CL. I don't think we are ready to win the CL just yet although it doesn't mean we need new players to be able to but more like we need more time to get it going with a set formation and role for everyone.

That said I wouldn't be happy with only the Copa. I think we are in a very good position in the league and the fixture list slightly favouring us over the other teams. if we lose it then we only have ourselves to blame

What are your thoughts?

finish 2nd on laliga with 4 points margin.

Said it in the other thread, at least one of the CL or La Liga. Ideally the CL.

Copa del Rey doesn't really matter.

all trophies matter!!! anyway if the team can improve the possession play and the attacking link up we have a chance for everything

Yeh possession play still needs to improve. It's better than it was under Mourinho, but it's still very basic. It's not at the level of some of the best possession teams yet.

didn't know about this thread...posted this before, but hell, i agree with yohan modric to an extent, liga or ucl (or even liga and ucl, tough goal to achieve, but its part of setting high standards)...and copa del rey. ideally copa does not matter, but all signs point to a real madrid barcelona final....in that case, then it does matter. i want us to stick it to the catalan club this season in whatever competition we play in.

I expect us to win Copa, but I don't really care either way. I think we have a better chance at CL than previous years for two reasons.

1.Carlo has structured the team better. The defence isn't all effort, people know what they're doing and people understand responsibilities. What we did against Aletico, I think our players can do that any time. That's just intensity. I think we have something to fall back on.

Assuming we get to the quarters, we have a really really easy run in the league from April onwards, which will help, because we got seriously done previous years.
