"shits on competitions he's never won"... what did he say? "It would be nice to win but it's not our priority"? It's not like he called it a mickey mouse cup or insulted it in any way

He did not describe in typical GL fashion but he was very much dismissive of the competition. Personally, the competition really isn't a big deal apart from some banter here and there and with Spurs' lofty ambition, they obviously see it the same way. However, to be dismissive of a competition he has not won is quite high and mighty. Pep and Jose can have that attitude, Poch just looks a bit rude.

Especially since it is Spurs whose trophy cabinet is a bit bare at the moment.

Other than the gross misrepresentation of what Poch said that RG posted, I can't be bothered with these responses because everyone knows if Spurs won this cup that it would be discredited immediately. It's not a winning situation.

BS. Only need to look how I championed Utd winning it last season. It was an integral piece in a historic treble. It being called the Haribo cup now does lessen it's worth, though.

I just don't see that alleged arrogance in either the quotes posted earlier or the post-match interview:

He reiterates how disappointed both he and the players are, how they hoped to move on to the next round, etc. Doesn't seem to disrespect the competition at any point.

Was more talking about the comments made before the match, not after. Obviously after blowing a 2-0 lead, being dismissive may not have been the most ideal stance for a manager.

I don't know why you guys are so critical of Pochettino only focusing on real trophies. Spurs probably wanted to lose. This way they can focus on getting knocked out of the CL in the round of 16, and coming 3rd in the league.

What a dumbass, he's insulting his own fans. Spurs fans have defended their League Cup win as a real trophy since 2008 Laughing

Tottenham are out of the Premier League title race, claims Mauricio Pochettino after West Brom draw

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/11/25/tottenham-premier-league-title-race-claims-mauricio-pochettino/

But he wanted to win 'real trophies' Laughing

Get this scrub outta here. Only think he'll win at Spurs is the net spend trophy once Kane is sold and replaced by Afimico Pululu.

Not even close lol

If he loses the dressing room, maybe, but that's not the case either. Spurs will make top 4 and it will be fine. Need Wanyama and Alderweireld back tbh

I watched the game today... Spurs not impressive at all
Pochettino only looks good because over the last few years, the top English teams have been under reconstruction. While Spurs have a established core of players.

Tottenham is nothing but a MTCBKAE yet some deluded people expect them to beat Juve Laughing

Yes but that is a poor bait, i bet when you go fishing you always come back with 0 fish

Me i was serious, Spurs are only rated because their rivals suck Laughing
Exception made of City who seems back on the right track, seems like all they needed was to spend an extra 300 millions

Spurs aren't rated because their rivals suck lol

Its ironic, since, Juve have been calling it in for the past 6 years with little to no resistance

You could make that 'because their rivals suck' argument to Juve, in fact, they might make the strongest case lol

Podium at the very least.

Definitely higher than Spurs, in any case.

Both countries should merge, it would be fun to watch Milang have a tough time against Dangenham & Yeovil Town in Football League after spending zillions Laughing
