Is there a chance he gets fired after today's loss?

I still think you guys will qualify since you have two very easy games at home.

Whatever happens, I hope Bauza is given a ten year contract extension.

Yeah with Ecuador losing today I don't think Argentina is in that much of grave danger. At worst, they'll finish 5th and play the playoff against New Zealand (or is it against Asian team? I forgot).

New Zealand.

It might come down to the last game Ecuador-Argentina to decide it. Although most likely Argentina will be qualified by then.

It's a very real chance. Even if we win 6 points there's a strong chance we will depend on the results of other teams to make it. It could come down to who wins Brazil - Chile, and you guys just might throw that game on purpose if it means kicking us out (and you willl already be qualified by then)...

Uruguay also has a super easy ride (Peru, Arg, Para, Ven, Bolivia) so we can expect them to make it with points to spare.

New AFA president is saying that they will review the normalizing board's decisions and turn some back, which people have interpreted as him talking about Bauza's appointment. It's possible we might make a play for Sampaoli in June.

The number of scrubs in that team. Laughing Not to mention the scrub managerial appointments each time. We need a half decent coach to start with. Luckily the playoffs will come to the rescue. FFS at least qualify for the finals.
And why are these morons still sticking Rojo in LB. He is a different animal these days when played at CB.

AFA actually going for a coach (Sampaoli).
Almost pity other NT-teams when Messi gets hold of them within actual football team. rofl

Agreement between Argentina and Sampaoli is expected to reach next week. He wants a contract of five years, until June 2022. [ole]

That wouldnt have been reversed for a lack of evidence if it was Jose Randomo from Peru.

Really falling out of love with the game now.

Will Sampaoli be coach for the qualifiers then? Or will they have some interim before he takes over?

The next qualifiers are in August so if we go for Sampaoli and if Sevilla let him leave he will be in charge by then

You can tell that's a Sampaoli influenced squad because Joaquin Correa is in it Laughing

Which midfielders would you call up instead?

And of those, my question was, what's a "Guido Rodriguez"?

It's a shame players like Vietto and Krane didn't continue their development well under his Sevilla stint.

6'1 DM. Argentina can definitely do with them. Hope he is legit. Defence still as bad as ever but Sampaoli wouldn't care about that.
